He creates so much space for himself and his game is definitely ready for the next level. so what he smokes a little weed, it's not even a real drug, and sure as hell doesn't look to be effecting his game at all...
No argument there. But to get pinched for it three times? Disconcerting. At least gotta be a little smarter than that. Stoglin was really the one legitimately good player on Maryland the past two seasons. He carried the team and was the only reason worth watching. On that note, I'm interested to see if Alex Len can develop into an actual basketball player instead of just a seven-footer with raw skills. He struggled to get acclimated last season, but the potential is certainly there. I believe Larry Bird -- at least I think it was Larry Bird -- anointed Len a future lottery pick after watching a Terps practice early last season.

If they go with a big the first pick think they should try to package their two 2nds for a higher second and go after: Doron Lamb, John Jenkins, Kevin Murphy, Hollis Thompson, William Buford. All were good shooters/scorers.

Remeber, the sixers are very good in the second round: Williams, Korver, Green, Allen.

The NBA draft is almost unwatchable.

A bit more analysis, a bit less human interest, please.

Terrible. I personally hate the pick.

Young/Iggy basically.

I wanted Zeller.

Harkless is probably Iguodala's replacement. IDK if he'll be ready this year though.

I thought they'd go bigger with P.Jones, Zeller or Moultrie.

The Sixers never seem to go with the big name with the exception being Turner. It kinda sucks. There was a ton of talent left on the board.

Of course the Celtics got Sullinger and Melo with the 21st and 22nd picks. Unreal.

We have Jrue, Iggy, and Turner who attack the net. We have Young, Iggy, and Turner who play SF.

Unless Iggy is on the move, not a big fan of the pick.

Thad doesn't play SF anymore. Strictly a PF now.

From a source..

Moultrie was gonna be the pick @ 15. Collins fell in love with Harkless at his workout, pushed and got him. Moultrie sitting there, they make the move and grab him.

Iggy could still be moved...I hope.

Now let Brand expire or amnesty. let Lou walk. Trade Iggy. Shop Young.

Young just got a 5 year extension, he's going nowhere. I like him anyway he's probably a starting F next year (assuming Iggy is moved.)

Glad they got Moultrie anyway only gave up #45 and a future 1st which should be no higher than 15. I hope its lottery protected for few years anyway just in case.

I think Hawes walks now and Lou gets over payed by some team. S.Young, Battie and Brackins are gone. Probably Meeks and Silas too.

I expect Iguodala to be traded and Brand amnestied. Hopefully they can convince Memphis into a Gay for Iggy swap that Broussard just said they offered.

They have Holiday, Turner, Thad, Harkless, Vucevic and Moultrie for sure assuming they do the above. So they'll have 7-9 spots to fill, you assume some of those will be in the Iguodala package.

Hopefully the sign Jamal Crawford, some bench pieces and get a good return Andre.

EDIT: Forgot about Lavoy Allen. He's a FA but should be back so they have 7-8 spots to fill.

Will this team be better come fall..........?

No sarcasm involved, just wondering because basketball in Philadelphia gained some momentum people! They were a game away from the conference finals! Loads of young talent, can't say I follow the team too much, went to 3 playoff games but hardly watched the regular season.

I hope I get to go to a few playoff games when I come back from college.

They need a couple older veteran players on minimum contracts for some experience. Do you think they go after Bynum or Howard next summer? They should have the money.
