Still torn between Percy, Blacker and Finn. Really not sure on this one at all, voting Finn because I feel he's a bit ahead of where Percy/Blacker were at the same age, but I'm basically just guessing here. All good d prospects, all have a good chance to become NHLers.
Agreed, except I'd switch Finn with Ross.
Also, I voted for Percy. I really like how smart the kid is.
leafs traded up for Percey and burke had to have him
they were happy to have Flinn where they got him but didn't trade up
As mentioned above. The Leafs traded up to select Biggs at #22 trading the Bruins first round pick (#30) and the Leafs 2nd round pick. The Leafs used the Flyers pick (#25 - Versteeg trade) to select Percy.
However an interesting note is that the Leafs actually had Percy ranked higher than Biggs. It was Morrison who was convinced that Biggs was about to come off the board that caused them to trade up and select Biggs instead of Percy with that pick. And this meant risking that Percy would not be there when it came to pick #25.
I think it's interesting that Tampa had him ranked as their #4 prospect last year. And now, after killing the Marlies, he'll be lucky to squeek into our top 10.
He's being underrated here. He has tremendous amount of skill he hasn't brought out and was showing that glimpse at the start of this AHL season with Admirals.

A few things. Probably lingering shiny toy syndrome. Tampa's prospect pool is not nearly as deep as Toronto's. Norfolk, while not taking anything away from their victory, had quite a few AHL 'veterans' as key players while Toronto's team wasn't expected to do as well as they did with a younger inexperienced team.
Not saying Ashton is a bad prospect by any means, there are just quite a few better.

Since Kadri, Colbourne Frattin, have all played a tons of games with the big club you cannot consider them "Prospects"
Leafs top 3 prospect to date are, Reilly, Blacker, Aston.
HF has a certain number of games you must play to no longer be considered a prospect, I want to say 60 but I honestly have no clue what the number is. Those 3 players are still considered prospects by HF though. Also it's something like once you turn 26 you are no longer considered a prospect.
Agree or disagree that's the universal thing on here.
