I don't know what to believe anymore. The cap has gone up quite a bit....we'll probably not spend to it...I don't see us bringing anyone of significance in. Who knows? Maybe they wait to see how he does in preseason before makign a decision...he lights it up and stays on. If Gomez has a bounce back season (50pts) I really would not be that surprised. I still want him gone though.

I think they want to make changes, but there just isn't much out there. If there was a decent UFA class I think we'd be in the thick of things....but besides Parise, Suter and a couple other guys, there's nothing. Nothing but fringe players.

I'd like a 4th line made of Prust - White - Moen...

Our 3rd line must be made of gritty 10-15 goals scorers who are defensivly responsible

We had the same hopes before last season and he ended up scoring 2 freaking goals. He was the laughing stock of the league.

Gomez will not bounce back....not in Montreal at least.

MB/Molson will probably wait for the new CBA before taking the decision to either buy him out or send him in Hamilton.

Also what a terrible marketing move it would be to keep him in the starting lineup for the next season. Ouch !

Honestly I really don't see how Gomez could be back next season unless he's being recalled from Hamilton after injuries to at least 3 of our centers

Anyway I bet that he will be bought out.

Switch Prust for Tootoo and add a JF Jacques type player ( 13th forward ). Moen plays on a third line garanteed.
