Sweet! I get to fret over his grain truck like acceleration for another season. On the the flip side, what he lacks in speed he makes up for with the wing span of a 747.

When he carries the puck out of our zone, I wet my pants in fear, too. But all in all, he's a great bottom pairing D and PKer. Great signing.

Completely agree. Even Suter and Weber can benefit from his experience and from what I under he is a great locker room presence. He is definitely worth the money.

As long as we're not expecting him to be a top 4 minute eater or anything.

Nice signing by a guy that valued a chance to win as a factor in signing.

At least one dman can see what we have here.

Well, gosh, I was hoping to have him as a depth option up here.

Very good signing. He really impressed me in the playoffs.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

JMFJ isn't depth. JMFJ will bury you.

I'm just interested to see how bluelines in the Central sort out after free agency. I think we're the only ones who have our top-4 pretty much set, and it's pretty competitive. I don't expect much different out of Chicago, St. Louis is trying to add somebody (dunno if they'll get one), Detroit could well be looking at the prospect of going into the season with a top pairing of Kronwall and Ian White and we all know the situation going on down with all y'all.

I guess I'm just enjoying watching certain O6 fanbases squirm. Oduya as a top-4 defenseman! Ericsson carrying a second pairing! Better hope Brendan Smith is ready...
