Marty looks to test market would we consider it?

So would anyone object to bringing in Marty to backup CP? I think we would have an amazing tandem and a hell of a mentor for CP.

You're dreaming. Marty will never leave NJ to become a backup elsewhere...

So I guess this is the end for Moen in Mtl. He would have already re-signed by now.

You should delete this before people read it . Do you really think a first ballot hall of famer is testing free agency to become a backup ?

Could you imagine bringing in Marty in how much would Price learn in a couple years from him it would be amazing. Bring him home to MTL to wear the CH before he retires.

Tampa Bay as a starter, and pencil in Tampa as a cup threat .
Only way he ever comes to Habs ,if Price was gone .

trying to improve our scoring through this particular free agency, quite frankly is a mistake

Yes they said that before playoffs too...

The "man " deserves respect.

He got at least 2 years left in him yet.

Would i take him for a 2 year deal as a STARTER in Montreal? You bet i would no hesitation i sign the deal .

I agree with you, although frankly, I'd give a contract to Alexander Semin.

Then what do you have in mind? I agree the UFA pool is thin but watching Bourque do nothing playing with Pleks and Gionta will et frustrating as hell. Bergevin needs to address that need badly through UFA or trade. Id be happy if he did nothing else after that

So we bring him in to share starting duties I am fine with that no problem at all.

same reason Ramo wasnt coming to Montreal

Brodur is not coming to Mpntreal to play 12-15 games behind Price.

I said this a long time ago, i would trade Price for the Kings randsom, and sign Brodeur as a UFA for 2 year deal ....
Don't get me wrong ,I'm a big fan of Price, but Martin Brodeur is every bit as good even at 40.

Parenteau for Gionta's money Allen or Garrisson for 3.5 m that's about it.

Frankly i don't really care if we don't get anything good all we need is love.

Why jeopardize your long-term relationship with a young goalie like Price for two worthless years of Brodeur? That doesn't make any sense. We're not a good goalie away from winning the Cup, we just picked 3rd overall. What's the point?

You didnt watch NHL playoff this year, the guy in the final, took NJ a team there that wasn't even forecast to be there.

You need to respect more ,a legend.

The HUGE RETURN you get for Price likley turns you into a CUP CONTENDER NOW.....Brodeur can give you a great chance to win for 2 years, then you sign a UFA goalie .....Bruins won with Tim Thomas.
