Well, it looked as if the P Bruins made a visit to the local Staples Store and picked up an "Easy Button" and used it to beat the Monarchs tonight and leap frog over them into 3rd place in the Atlantic Division. The Monarchs have 2 games left against Lowell while the Bruins hold a game in hand advantage and will play Hartford, Albany & Lowell.
Unless the Bruins totally tank, the Monarchs will be paying a visit to 1st place Portland for the playoffs.
Your making a "whine" post about how your in 4th freaking place and have already clinched a playoff spot?
I am not sure how you deal with that pain? Making the playoffs. You poor *******!
The pain doesn’t come in making the playoffs. The pain will come when the Monarchs are eliminated in the first round for the fifth consecutive year. The pain comes in having a crap head coach that was given the job (after he had been fired as assistant coach) because of his friendship with the Director of Hockey Operations. The pain comes in seeing what should have been a very talented group of hockey players underachieve. I could go on but I’m sure you don’t want to read any more of my “whining” as you have enough of your own to do about the Kings.
Who does Portland have left on their roster? The Ducks have already called up their main stars in Perry and Getzlaf. I know they have Penner, but who else?
Ryan Shannon 25 G 59 A 84 P (69 games)
Dustin Penner 39 G 42 A 81 P(in only 55 games)
Pierre Parenteau 21 G 26 A 47 P (54 games)
Geoff Peters 23 G 21 A 44 P (63 games)
Zenon Konopka 18 G 23 A (32 games)
plus 6 other guys with 10 or more goals, and that doesnt include Getzlaf and Perry.
yeah the Monarchs are toast. this might be the best team in the league with all due respect to the baby Pens and the Griffs.

"Coach is frustrated, the players are frustrated and the fans are frustrated. We need to turn it around because this isn't much fun"....
Well said Connor, well said...
Hmmm....kinda sounds like what the Kings players have been saying for the past 2-3 months. Makes you wonder if the Kings brass have been handing out quote handbooks to their minor league teams as well.
In their past 16 games, (basically since the beginning of March) the Monarchs have won TWO in regulation. Over that stretch:
Tukonen - 3G - 4A - 7PTS in 16-games
Pushkarev - 2G - 2A - 4PTS in 16-games
Roussin - 3G - 0A - 3PTS in 11-games
Hogeboom - 5G - 2A - 7PTS in 15-games
Tukonen and Pushkarev continue to be handed TOP 6 minutes including PP time and Hogeboom, who has as many goals as the two of them combined in one less game played since the beginning or March, has again been assigned to Section 104 and they're using Richard Seeley on the left wing...
If Roussin could receive a pass he'd be dangerous. He had two great opportunities that Daigle set up by threading passes through the slot to Roussin at the far post and Roussin screwed the pooch on both. Yes, Roussin had a goal last night. Connor James blasted a one-timer that grazed him as it was going in...
Hauser bailed out Pushkarev BIG time last night. Pushkarev was skating out of the Monarchs end, got to the blue line, tried one of his "moves" on the Providence forechecker, lost it in his skates and the P-Bruin was in alone on Hauser...
