He would have gotten almost 3.0M on the market, so my guess is 2.25 to 2.50M per season....

4 years is a lot for a player like this but on the other hand its nice to have the team show some loyalty to the players who bleed for this team.

Great stuff, I'm guessing $10M / 4 years, but you can be sure it's at least $2M per year.

Edit: according to the new title, I'm wrong...

Maybe something like Kristo and a draft pick interests Dallas. Who knows.

Gainey is helping out there now, so we might be able to get him for Gomez.

Really happy, this guy is a warrior for us, I just hope he'll get surrounded with more toughness, so that he's not alone anymore

Yup, this is his (last) big pay day, I expect 2.5M or around that.

It'd be great to have him, but he wont come cheap. Leblanc + pick IMO.

Edit: 1.8 million, good. 4 years is still a bit long IMO, but oh well...he's great on the PK.

Would have preferred 2 or 3 years, but I'm assuming they needed to add a 4th year to get the deal done and not have him enter the FA market.

4 years/8 million would be awesome. Anything more than 2.5 per is too much, IMO.

Yep, Moen is an absolutely fantastic bottom 6 guy.

I love that, while it isn't ideal, he can play with offensive guys getting more minutes and he doesn't destroy the line with poor play.

He's a very smart player who does all of the little things right.

Really hoping that the coaching staff gets through enough to Bourque, and another top 6 guy is added and they go try a Bourque-Eller-Moen 3rd line.

Actually it's 4 years 7.6 mil...1.8 mil average. Good deal. By going an extra year I think we cut the cap hit by 0.2 mil.

If he plays his whole contract with us, he'll have spent 7 seasons with the Habs, the most in his career with a single team. He'll be a remembered a Hab, glad to have him wear the CH for a long time.

Wow, I figured the number would be a little lower than what most of us would have figured a week or two ago becuase of the 4 years...

1.8 is AWESOME.

That's such great news.

LOVE the AAV. 1.8/4 years is a great deal. He could of fetched at least 2.5 on the open market.
