Damn, if we want Nathan MacKinnon not having Campoli in the lineup hurts our cause. Too bad. I guess we'll have to make the playoffs then.

I thought Campoli would make a good depth addition...boy was I wrong. This guy should probably never be playing double-digit minutes at the NHL level.

Canadien won't offre a contract to Brad Staubitz. He'll be UFA on July first.

Very disappointed about Staubitz...

Mods can merge, didn't realize it was being discussed in another thread already.
I think Campoli not coming back was a foregone conclusion.

I'm a bit surprised Staubitz wasn't retained. Hopefully he gets replaced by another enforcer...Konopka Asham Parros Barch Rosehill Hordichuk Scott Carkner Brookbank

He was fine in the 2nd half. 1st half was rough with the injury, then trying to get back up to speed, almost looked like they rushed him back too early.

I think he is fine as a puck moving #5 or 6, but we already have Diaz for that role.

That's one full half of CaKa.

Well, thanks for Galchenyuk and Collberg... Things will never be the same...

Not surprised about Campoli at all. Glad he isn't coming back.

Staubitz on the other hand. I thought they would want to keep him around and keep opposing teams honest on the ice when he would be dressed. It's really a shame, as he added to the element of team toughness without really hurting the team when he's on the ice. Hope he gets signed by another team though, guy deserves to be in the NHL, even if he doesn't play every single game.

That Staubitz/Malone video makes me want to keep him but if Bergevin doesn't want to carry a middle-weight it's his prerogative.

**** Ryan Malone btw.

Yeah I've been thinking about big J-F Jacques for a while now, he would make for an intriguing addition to the 4th line....While Not being a pure enforcer like Staubitz he's still a decent heavyweight and he can play a little hockey too. Put him on a line with Noke and say Ott or Prust and we are definitely in business :O . The one thing with him is that he's been very injury prone in his career and he does take some bad penalties at times.

He isn't an enforcer. We need a legit heavyweight that keeps opponents honest.

If the habs sign Parros, then I'll be very confused. At this point, Staubitz is the more effective player at this role.

8-10 minutes without hurting the team, doesn't have to be a 30 goal scorer.

I like staubitz personality and the role he attempted to fill he did so admirably, having said that, having both him in Campoli walk is good news imo.
