From the eventual cup winners to one of the worst teams in the AHL. Way to go Terry!

I was hoping he'd come aboard as an assistant on Lavy's staff, but I can live with this.

Glad to hear this. This man will only help to teach our prospects at the AHL level. Welcome back into the fold Terry.

He does a great job with young defensemen. Hopefully he will be able to help a couple of them make the jump.

Good to hear. I would have liked to have seen what he could do with Schenn and Couturier as an assistant with the big club. He was instrumental in helping Kopitar become a great 2 way player.

Also, his defensive system is what LA used to win the cup.

Terry Murray's defensive system, and most importantly how they defended in their own end was unchanged after the hiring of Sutter.

I'm not upset at all with him as an AHL coach.

His defensive system was in place in LA but the scoring suffered till Sutter and Carter arrived. Let's hope the defensive prospects learn from him. It's interesting that he's so defensive minded and Lavi is so offensive minded, hopefully things will work out well with those two being so opposite.

Let's also hope they allow him to teach his defensive system to his team and maybe some of it is implemented up here as well. His system just won a cup, why not utilize it.

Fire Kevin McCarthy and get Terry in there.....this whole package deal that Lavi insisted on with McCarthy when he first came here should be renegotiated as part of his extension.....

You're confusing a defensive system with good defensive structure. They led the league in score-close Fenwick since the trade deadline, which means they were producing offense, which wasn't really all that far off with what Terry Murray was doing, they just didn't have the same quality of chances or finishing

Hopefully T.M. and Kjell Samuelsson can groom LAURIDSEN who could and should have been our missing big guy who lands punishing hits.
If I was management I would have paid special attention to him, added sessions, showing him footage of Pronger and Chara, even training sessions with Pronger, Derian Hatcher, and such, then hire skating coaches for him. Even some one like Paul Coffey who helped Therien's work outs geared towards skating speed. That one year he worked with him while playing for the Flyers, he increased his speed with those work outs greatly.
I'd also like to see Manning get more attention, he was very stable and I am surprised he doesn't get mentioned as one of the extra defenders we have.
Flyers org has to start going the extra mile and think outside the box and outside their staff to find help individually for their special assets they've failed to cultivate and utilize, because they failed these extra steps.

Not at all. Sutter, Stevens, and several players on the team are all on record that Sutter didn't change anything defensively when he took over. A more aggressive forecheck was the main thing he altered.

Our firm has represented Bob Crocker for over 30 years and he said the same thing, but what would he know about LA King hockey?

I'm just busting his balls. He's "that guy" that sometimes needs his balls busted.
