Jaromir Jagr Watch 2012 - where will he end up?

Quote:
Will NHL teams look at Jaromir Jagr’s 62 points in 84 games last year or at his birth certificate which would turn 41 in mid-season?

Can some offence-starved clubs afford not to look at him?

The much-decorated Jagr’s decision to join the Flyers last year after time in the KHL was something of a fluke after agent Petr Svoboda was approached by the team during dealings with another client, Jakub Voracek. Jagr was looking at Detroit, Pittsburgh and Montreal at the time. A surprise destination this year might also be in the cards.

“It’s up to my agent,” Jagr told Denik Sport, a Czech newspaper. “We will see what happens. You never know.”

Jagr was disappointed at his ice time late in the year. The Camden Courier Post reports Jagr is likely to seek a small raise on $3.3 million this season or hold off to wait out a rumoured change in the new CBA that players 40 and over will not have salaries count against the cap.
What about the rumoured issue that contracts with players over 40 won´t count against the cap? Is there any truth to it at all? I have not heard about this at all during the GM meetings?

If not back to the Flyers, what team is the second most hated among Pens fans?

Haha. The Capitals.

But Washington would never take Jagr back after his career went down the toilet in DC!

Russia then I presume? And why did he not ask the Penguins and Detroit for more money last year if money was all he cared for?

Obviously there is a chance. The guy made that franchise and they need wingers. They will want him and he would want to play for a contender.

Lemieux wanted Jagr and Bylsma, but Shero only made the lowest offer of all teams to look good towards the Penguins fan base. The fan base bought Sheros bluff and crucified Jagr for signing with the Flyers!

Jagr said he could sense Shero did not actually want him and that was the big reason for not signing with the Pens.

He could have made double the money in Russia last year and the Flyers were not the NHL team with the highest offer. So the money factor being the most important factor is overblown here!

YAKUPOV - HOPKINS -EBERLE
JAGR - HALL - HEMSKY

1 year deal @ $4 mill. Oilers have plenty of room for a 1 year contract. Tambo's chance to prove he has some balls and wants to build a winning product. Jagr is a big body that our top 6 desperately needs, plus he has stated in the past that he wanted to play with Hemsky. I know I would go after him aggressively if I was in our GM's shoes.

"He's a good player, I'd love to play with him one day" Is that what the quote resembles? Because I'm sure he was just complimenting Hemsky...
