Callahan is a lock. McDonagh will in my opinion. Stepan won't not due to lack of skill, but he's going to be the odd man out at Center behind Stastny, Kesler, Backes and Pavelski. I think Kreider has a better shot than Stepan.
I doubt that Erixon would prefer to play for USA instead of Sweden. He is swedish and raised here, he was born in N.Y and will be playing in NHL by then, sure. But his parents are swedish etc, he grew up here and I think he consider himself as a swede. Easier for him to get a chance in sweden then it would be on USA's team.
It almost never happens, but it is possible to do.
Erixon will not have played the required 4 years by 2014 anyway.
The Nedved scenario I assume was different being that he never decided to go any of those routes and just stuck with Canadian Citizenship. Never saw him play for the Czechs, and I don't remember seeing Holik on any of their teams either. At least in Olympic play.
Didn't start following WC play until about 04.
Nedved could not play for Czech Republic until now because he played for Canada in the 94 Olympics and was playing in the NHL until 2007, he has spent the last 5 seasons in the Czech league and must have been there long enough for citizenship thus making him eligible and he was able to play in this year's WC's.
Holik has only ever played for Czech Republic/Czechoslovakia but the last time he did so was 1996, not sure why he didn't after that, he certainly was eligible.

I'll be surprised if both Kreider and Stepan make it. USA has a lot of depth at forward.
USA has a lot of depth everywhere
Especially goalie. Look at the last two CS winners. Though I'm guessing Thomas is out in 2014 but it doesn't matter because Quick/Miller is still a pretty fantastic tandem.
