Yeah it might look like Denmark have big chances through the match. Czech playing their lazy looking counter attack hockey. Denmark will fight and fight..and lose with 1-2 goals.... like at this WC
OK avoiding a blowout against Sweden and winning Swiss then it could be QF with some luck?! But actually Sweden also have historical problems with both Swiss and Czech.....these three teams can actually take points from each other!

Yeah czechs are pain in the ass to play against and theyre counter attacks are just deadly accurate.

The only way latvia can avoid blowout against canada if we have good PK,if not it could turn ugly.

Damn i made a mistake....didn't see the qualificaion number correct....wikipedia is not always very clear. So it seems Denmark will have Russia, Slovakia and USA instead!
It's Germany that will have Switzerland, Sweden and Czech....Latvias group was correct!!

Ha...new odds:
Russia ~0% (in Russia..no chance)
USA ~1% (since this time they will be top quality rather than at WC, but they might actually totally underestimate us)
Slovakia ~10% winning in regulation, 25% in OT (I think they are equal to Swiss in strength overall, better peaks, but less depth).

I think whatever you do it will be the Canadians attitude to the game that decide the score.......and less how you play

Yeah...Czech, Sweden, Russia, USA...all basically no chance....and i think Slovakia/Swiss are more and less equal. Your chances against Norway though are at least 50-50%!

Bartulis home, but Sergejs Cubars still plays in Denmark....so not all depleted of latvians here since Mustokovs left for Sweden! He was good enough to get 1 WC for Latvia! His stats are not that awesome lately! He just got an extension with the bottom team last year in Danish league (probably being one of the few players over 25 there haha).
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=12470

He peaked 2001-2003 and got a WC 2002-03 seaon! Afterwards not that spectacular!

He is the grand old man of the team...so they keep him probably to teach the young, and maybe like so many others he will become a coach starting here in Denmark!

Must be some players wanting to see Denmark and drink some beer.....you cant be on the vodka bottle all of you

Must be the KHL and MHL that is depleting us for latvians!

This guy "Nils Grinfogels" -> perfect name for Denmark being half-scandinavian half funny-german.
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=52406
Nils (is the swedish/german version of danish Niels) and grin is danish for smile/laugh and fogels are close to german vogel=bird
Nils "laughingbird" as goalie in Denmark....would like that. (all dk: "Niels Grinfugl")
He could take over where Mustukovs left!

Funny thing I actually thought about that same question a couple of months ago. I came up with two possible names.

Copenhagen Classics
or
Copenhagen Royals

-Classics would be sponsored by Carlsberg Classic.
-Royals by Royal Unibrew.

Both possible candidates since they have tried hard to get established on the Russian marked for 15+years now, with limited success. I figured Carlsberg would be the most obvious since they didn't extend their deal with Liverpool FC, and they could afford it.

I also thought about some of the other questions as to where it should be placed and what the lineup would look like ect.

It has to be located in Copenhagen for travel and sponsorship purposes.

Ill put it all out there, just for fun.

2015-16
Copenhagen Classics (eventough I prefer Royals),
Location Oerestaden Multi Arena, Copenhagen.
Sponsered by Carlsberg

Possible KHL Lineup:

Alexander Perezhogin (I) '83 - Marc-Antoine Pouliot '85 - M. Christensen '87
N. Hardt '88 - Dustin Boyd (I) '86 - Mike Iggulden (I) '82
J. Jakobsen '87 - M. Madsen '87 - T. Spelling '93
F. Storm '89 - P. Bjørkstrand '92 - K. Starkov '87
Extras (J. Jensen '87 - J. Karvinen '86)

D
Maxim Chudinov (I) '90 - Sergei Gimayev (I) '84
J. Jensen '91 - Oliver Lauridsen '89
S. Lassen '85 - S. Grønvaldt '91
Extras (K. Jensen '87 - P. Hersby '84)

G
Alex Auld (I) '81
S. Nielsen '86
Extra (S. Dahm '87)

Farm team (B-team) in the "Super Is-Ligaen":

Lasse Lassen '89 - Michael Daugulis (I) '85 - B. Møller '85
Kim Johansson (I) '88 - Sebastian Ehlers - Mark Mieritz
Rasmus Astrup - Christian Vaagensø - Michael Smidt
Patrick Rasmussen - Nikolaj Zorko - Nicklas B. Carlsen

Mike Rådde (I) '88 - Philippe Paquet (I) '87
Tobias Hansen - Tobias Ruelykke
Morten Allesøe - Marco Illeman
Extra (Emil Bigler)

S. Dahm '87
Frederik Jakobsen

*I = Import
*No Import players can move between the two teams, only danish born players.

Anyways, back to reality

I will be a big fan of Latvia in 2014 if Girgensons is there

Truth be told I have a lot of respect for Team Latvia in general. Outside of Team USA and Finland, it might be my favorite to root for.
