Not a chance. Nash is not a great player despite what you may believe.
Sather wouldn't overpay and despite the fact that u think Nash isn't great. Most Ranger fans would tell u getting a big time scorer is alot more needed than schultz

I have a big fear that Sather has a big hard on for Rick Nash. Like he's gonna do something crazy and give up Kreider or Stepan or Del Zotto along with 3 or 4 other pieces to get him.
Rangers fans have said a lot of things in the past. It doesn't mean they're right.

he won't give up both when one can be a center piece in any deal.

It was his first year and they didn't play together all year u know that right? 90 might be high but 80 definitely doable
Perhaps, but it's typical projections that won't always work out. In theory, yes Rick Nash could get 40 goals with Brad Richards, but it's not a guarantee. You have to look back when Heatley was traded from Ottawa to San Jose, people were saying he's a lock to hit 60 alongside Thornton.
In the meantime, Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher should be hearing (or has heard) from highly-sought University of Wisconsin defenseman Justin Schultz today to find out if he's accepted or rejected the Wild's contract offer.
Schultz, 21, who had the Wild on a list of six finalists with the Rangers, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa and Toronto and met with Fletcher earlier this week I'm told, is expected to make his decision this afternoon and likely already has.

The only thing I can say for Mr. Nash is that the Rangers are a much better team than the Blue Jackets. I can see Nash coming in and shining. However, I've seen some pretty big names come here and crash.
Would be neat to see what Nash and Richards can do together.
Schultz signs with Rangers: "Everyone needs to lay off the kid. He didn't want to stay with Anaheim and that's that".
Schultz signs with another team: "**** this guy. What a classless bum, bailing on the team that drafted him".
If we get him I'll still have some deep reservations. This whole process has been a complete @#$% show. Poorly managed and handled. I think if your his team mate you can't but help to have some questions about him.
We'll see.....hopefully pretty soon. The longer this drags out the worse this guy looks, IMO.

Right, but at the very least he would give us 30 which monumentally helps our scoring even if overpaid

This is what I fear. Do Rangers fans not remember this? All those players past their primes/on the decline that joined the Rangers for big $$$ doesn't make you guys hesitant to trade for Nash? I remember a lot of Rangers fans, including myself, that Scott Gomez will break out playing alongside Jaromir Jagr, well how did that turn out? Nash is a career underachiever and is by far the most overrated player in the NHL. The Rangers are taking a big risk (7.8M worth) in efforts that he'll someday breakout.

He probably can, but it wouldn't be worth his price tag at 7.8m. Especially when you have upcoming players to re-sign in Gaborik, Lundqvist, Stepan, McDonagh, Del Zotto, etc. We'll lose one of them for sure.
