Pittsburg for Parise. I would say its almost a lock. They wouldn't clear all that space with out some under the table agreement. He's still talking with NJ to keep it from being obvious. Contract will prob be signed by 3PM tomorrow.

To the point where Crosby sat with Parise's family in his suite during the cup finals. There is some talk in the media that Crosby and Parise have talked in the past of playing together at some point.

Few on our board even talk of Suter very much. Likely because of how stacked we are with defensive prospects who will be coming up over the next few years.
Crosby and Parise weren't at Shattuck at the same time.

Typical Pred fan. They win a couple of rounds in the playoffs and now the arrogance shines through.

Suter and Semin will sign in Detroit.

Parise will either remain with the Devils or sign in Minnesota.

As for all the speculation of Pittsburgh landing one or both, I think the Penguins will actually target a guy like Ray Whitney and one of Kuba, Carle or Garrison.

Going to be lots of disappointed posters here if you guys actually think Suter will go to Detroit. Quote me on this one, he's never going to play for Detroit.

All that I know is that he doesn't want to be in Nashville. Maybe he doesn't want to play on team that refuses to have legit top 6 players? Radulov and the sisters don't count because their are headcases. Maybe if Nashville stopped trying to beat Detroit, they'd actually go for a playoff run.

And Detroit can probably give him A) More playing time/bigger role, B) A better environment, with better fans, C) More Money.

While I'm not guaranteeing anything-because I don't know him personally-I am just saying he'll go to Detroit before he goes back to Nashville.

Sid got close to his family then, so the connection began at that time, even though Zach went a couple of years before. And they have been friends for years, since then.

Crosby 2006: Gratz on the hire Mr. Shero Sir. So, I know you are getting settled and all, but tell me something about my wing situation

Shero 2006: I have you at the top of my list. Remember the name Michel Ouellet. He is going to be a big star. Tons of untapped potential.

Crosby 2007: So about my wing situation . . .

Shero 2007: Colby Armstrong is your good buddy, right?

Crosby 2008: So back to that wing situation . . .

Shero 2008: What do you think when I say Pascal Dupuis?

Crosby 2009: Umm, wing?

Shero 2009: What you didn't like Pascal Dupuis? He looks like a puppy dog. Who doesn't like puppies?

Crosby 2010: Christ already, you found a ****ing wing for Geno?

Shero 2010: Well you were hurt and all.

Crosby 2011: God damn it, a 40 goal scorer for Geno and you can not find anything for me?

Shero 2010: They call him Super Duper, did you know that?

Crosby 2012: **** it, I will do it myself.

Parise: Hey Sid, what's up?

He'll have that anywhere. He's not 'limited' in Nashville (or anywhere else). There are two defensemen on the ice at any time.

I think Suter will go to Detroit, Parise will go to PIT. Not terribly happy about either but it seems the most likely outcome to me.

Pittsburgh would not be paying the most money to either. We could only sign them if they are interesting in taking less to get a better shot at winning.

"A better shot at winning"...pretty much means nothing in a parity league.

@JoshYohe_Trib

I'm expecting Pens to offer Parise something in neighborhood of 10 years, $75-80 million.

I don't think it's arrogance, I think it's how Shero rolls. He has his ducks in a row to the point where I don't think he'll invest in a bidding war. He let Jagr walk over a million dollars because he had the price he thought was appropriate and wouldn't pay a cent more. Whereas I think Minnesota will match any offer that comes along, and where it comes to Suter and Detroit I think Holland probably should.

If New Jersey offers Parise some monster deal, I would bet Minnesota matches and Pittsburgh does not.

He was obviously talking about the Wild bid among the strongest reported contenders, Detroit, the Wild, NJ and Pittsburgh, which is reported to be, and I quote from a reporter from there, 'outrageous.'

If anyone thinks that the Wild have a better chance of winning in the near future than the Pens, they would be in the minority. If Parise takes that offer, he is going for the money more than winning, obviously.

How is it arrogance to say that? You are way offbase.
