Considering he scored 7 to 13 points every year post-lockout until this one, his lack of production came as a shock.

He did his job. Just didn't need two fighters on the team.

Haha what if he was bought out so Lou could sign George Parros?

As the replacement for Parise?

Kovalchuk - Zajac - Parros.

Just hand us the cup.

The sad thing is that he has more cups than either of those two

But still....maybe Parros can say "The Best thing you can do in order to win a Stanley Cup is to do the OPPOSITE of what I do".

0 points means he didn't do his job. He was brought in because he was supposed to be able to play fourth line minutes without being a liability.

I'm glad he's gone. I never really saw the point in having two goons. Even just having one is quickly becoming obsolete.

Waste of a roster spot with Cam around and Lou wouldn't send him to Albany as an established vet. It's a move that had to be made.

Boulton was actually a very solid player for the Thrashers before we signed him, i believe he was talking about his days in Atlanta.

Too bad he never had any good times here, except beating up Douglas Murray.

Honestly I didn't hate Boulton being in the lineup until about March. I didn't like him at all whatsoever, and I knew the 4th line sucked, but I wasn't up in arms about it. We didn't have a 4th line worth a ****, and neither did a lot of teams in the league so no big deal. I think most people were fed up with him before I was only by the time I became fed up with him I was far more fed up with him than most people it kind of came on all at once.

I pretty much was set off by the game in Philly in March. We were down 2-0 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. We were getting a PP, and he thought we were going shorthanded, and then washed our PP out by taking a penalty himself. He said he thought we were going to the PK, and tried to get Hartnell into taking a penalty. Of course Pete pulled Marty, and Briere scored into the empty net. We sucked that game anyway though wasn't Boulton's fault. Then the next week against the Rangers in the game with the opening line brawl he took a stupid useless penalty when the game was in reach, and they scored on the PP because of it. Combine that with how good the 4th line was once he was off of it it would be foolish to go back to him. I think Lou signed him to be more than a goon like Janssen. More like a decent 4th line skill player, and that's probably why he got a 2 year, and slightly more than league minimum salary unlike Janssen's 1 year, and league minimum.

True, but at the time we didn't know that, so we thought it was awesome.

I can't imagine hitting Doug Murray in any way without damaging yourself.

Well, you can give him an elbow (keysi), but that`s obviously not how it`s done.

I can assure you Lou did not sign him because he scored one hat trick. To say you wish it didn't happen is awful. It's a great moment in Boult's career that is greater than you, I or anyone on this board will even get close to. Thanks for the year EB.

If Boulton had gotten 5 points during the regular season, the Devils would won the Cup.

Oh what could have been!

If Boulton had been on the ice for one goal scored the whole season, and not however many against he may have been slightly more useful. He was expendable because of the 4th line in the playoffs.
