Almost 14K posts here and you seriously didn't know they were UFA? I'm impressed.

I doubt Suter leaves the West. I fear Detroit lands both of them and immediately becomes a powerhouse again.

I would love to see the leafs sign Parise, he would officially be the Leaf's second best winger behind kessel, I would be upset if Burke signs Suter thou, I would not want to give 7 mill + cap hit for a guy who would be playing behind Phaneuf and Gunnarsson, we already have to many high end D man we need more top line forwards.

Fixed a little.

I don't think any of these teams would be lucky enough to land both, so it's likely two will be ecstatic. However, one of these three fanbases is going to be seriously, seriously disappointed.

I think the Pens end up signing a veteran winger and my guess is Ray Whitney.
Honestly, if Parise decides not to sign with Pens, my no.2 player would be "The Wizard" AINEC.

He would be great fit in Burgh.

Thing I don't get is this...Poile has to know Suter is likely to walk at this point.

Wouldn't you do everything in your power to make sure he never ever signs with the Red Wings? I mean, that's handing one of your biggest rivals a brick wall on defense for 5 years or more. I would be doing everything to persuade him to go to Minnesota, or Pittsburgh, or pretty much anywhere other than Detroit.

That doesn't mean Suter will listen, but I have a hard time believing that Poile wouldn't at least try to poison the well.

Really? Suter would be playing behind Phaneuf and Gunnarsson? Impressive. The times I have watched the Leafs, I haven't gotten the impression that Phaneuf and/or Gunnarsson are a step up from Ryan Suter.

And he grew up with Tom Gilbert. Doesn't mean a whole lot IMO. If he decides he wants to play with Crosby, it will be because of his skill level, not a friendship. i personally haven't seen any evidence that they are anything other than acquaintances with mutual respect for each other.

Suter's in Detroit unless Holland has a massive brain fart and thinks he's in a position to lowball him for "a chance at a Stanley Cup" like every UFA he's signed since taking over in 1998 instead of needing to open wide the checkbook like he's never had to before.

I think it would be awesome if they trolled the NHL and signed ten year deals in Edmonton. Both of them. Haha.

Pittsburgh is offering 80 over 10 (Already Reported). The most someone else will offer is 90 over 10. Is he going to turn down multiple cups for a million a year? Would you?

Detroit, LA, Washington, etc all have a chance at multiple Cups in the future.

The Oilers will just have Justin Schultz(Wisconsin Alumni) phone Suter up and convince him to sign in Edmonton.

But I still see him re-signing in Nashville before going anywhere else.

Why Sutter would want to go to Detroit is beyond me. That place is like Beirut. If he likes his farm Detroit is not the place to be.

Not sure who Sutter is... but if he's considering Detroit, the fact that the downtown has a lot of abandoned space isn't that big of a deal since everyone with money lives in the suburbs which are among the nicest around.

Parise - Pittsburgh
Suter - Detroit/St. Louis with Minnesota having an outside chance
