Glens Falls is currently the home of the Adirondack Phantoms, affiliate for the Flyers. Initially this was to be a temporary home until an arena in Allentown, PA was built, but there are no guarantees that's going to happen any time soon.
Article does state that they will play in Hartford for 12-13. Will see what happens after that.
My bad. I had read that this was the last season for the Phantoms up there. If not, then the Rangers would have to look elsewhere.
I know the sound tigers are in Bridgeport, but couldn't they, hypothetically, play in the same building? I mean who else plays in that arena? Fairfield basketball?
LOL it absolutely is not going to happen. Seriously. Don't even think about it.

While there does seem to be progress with the arena, I believe the Phantoms are going to begin taking deposits in the next week or so for the 13-14 season, I'll believe it when I see it. The Phantoms should have been playing in Allentown by now.
back to the players, i"d offer Klassen an AHL deal, he improved each year.
Other loose ends are the 1st year pros on AHL contracts who didn't play in CT last season - are any on 2-year deals - ie Campbell, Kuhn, Kerbashian, McNaught?
Campbell and Kuhn finished very strong, leading their teams late into the ECHL playoffs.
and from the Whale roster, there's Tessier, he was a great fit on and off the ice in Hartford. The coaches liked Tanski more than I do.
If they are really looking to remake the roster\system, perhaps as many as 4 Dev camp tryouts get deals - Bathgate, Bell (but he can sent back to WHL), Kyle Jean if he'd leave college in his home town early, and 20-year-old Zaitsev, if he's not commited to a 4th KHL season.
What about a move to Atlantic City? Several teams have failed there but I think a New York affiliate would draw there. They dont have to bring in many people to pass the Hartford attendance levels.
If there's nothing going on with the Islanders, I wonder what the possibility of the Rangers affiliate moving to Brooklyn would be.
As good as it sounds and probably would make sense from MSG perspective, remember that MSG and owners of the Barclay's Center are competitors because of the Knicks / Nets thing. I seriously doubt that Prokhorov & Co. would go out of their way to accommodate the Rangers organization.

they wouldn't exactly being doing the rangers a favor. that's a whole other revenue stream that the barclays center right now DOESN"T have. ahl hockey affiliated with the new york rangers would do really really well in brooklyn.

It's not like they wouldn't be profiting from it though.
From the Whale beat writer for the Hartford Courant:
Paul Doyle @PaulDoyle1
[Chuck] Steedman said before event that AEG & MSG have been talking for 10 days, working on upcoming season and beyond. #whale
I don't know what you guys think about this, but you heard it here first and that's all I'm going to say. My sources are very reliable.
Keith Aucoin!!!
Seems like he would be a good vet to add to a young Connecticut squad. Also can be used as a call up if necessary. I'm sure our Whale attendees would approve.
I agree, I'm not a Rangers fan by any stretch, but I know for a fact that he is being contacted to play for NY. He did well in the playoffs for the Caps.

Oh, if this is for a roster spot in New York, than ugh haha.
