They absolutely should.

Kadri + Schenn for Marleau. Someone call Burke and Wilson and tell them to prepare the paperworks

If the Wild were to get Marleau, I'd imagine that would help us into a playoff position, making a first round pick semi-expendable.

Clutterbuck + 1st + ?

Does that sound like some type of building block for a deal?

Galiev + 1st?

Though it would be contingent on him not hating Ribeiro though, which appears to be a possibility?

If it's a deal with the Wild, then yes, Clutterbuck, a 1st, and something else would be ideal. The "something else" is what I keep getting hung up on. I dont know much about the Wild prospect pool.

For the record, i dont want to deal Marleau, but if we are doing it for the sole purpose of cap flexibility, then so be it.

Any ideas, Sharks fans?

Yeah DW isn't dumb enough to make the team worse by doing that.

I would do that deal, personally.

Sucks giving up on Setoguchi already, but I think Marleau would make the Wild stronger than if they didn't have him and had Seto. My personal decision though. Not sure how the rest of the Wild fanbase would like that one.

Heater - Koivu - Granlund
Bouchard - Marleau - Coyle

seems like a pretty darn good top-six to me. Replace Coyle with Latendresse if we manage to bring him back, which I doubt.

That seems fair, though I'd prefer butler was one of the two.

Boyle would probably enjoy ending his career at home.

If hes looking to shake it up a bit he absolutely could do something lke this. Wilson has proved he's not shy to go after the big guns in a trade. Thornton, Heatley,Boyle ect.....and they were said to be in on Nash at the TD so it's not out of the question something like this happens.

DW usually tries to improve the team though.

Sorry, but how is losing 30 goal scorer and getting another younger one who does it with lesser team mates not an improvement?

yeah, especially one that hasnt even reached his full potential to one thats clearly in a steep decline into mediocrity, yet some people still are quick to defend him.

You forgot the proverbial 2nd round pick. Gagner, MPS and a second...the new Halak, Ryder and a 2nd.

To be fair, he pretty much owns every Sharks record. So loyalty is to be expected, especially when you consider a hard majority of Sharks fans don't know a Sharks team without Marleau.

Getting rid of marleau is best for the sharks. They need a player with character. He's good but from what it looks he looks quiet

First off the article proves nothing. Second, I don't want to trade him, he is our fastest player and the Sharks are painfully slow even with him. If he is traded, the trade MUST replace Patty's speed and offence. Keep that in mind with your offers.

I thought it was Raymond, Ballard and a 1st was the new Halak, Ryder and a 2nd?

Connoly+MacArthur+Kulemin+picks

Done after FA. Connoly is a centerman replacement for Marleau who can also play on the wing, mostly in as a salar compensation for the 6.9 of marleau.

Kulemin and MacArthur are 2 2nd line wingers with some jam, and both are good skaters and good with the puck.

Toronto also can add prospects or picks to seal the deal. Imagine the only ones off the table are kadri, reilly, gardiner, and biggs.

With the acquisition of Rebeiro, I would now welcome the Marcus Johannson + 1st for Marleau offer that was talked about before. Caps could use a goal scorer on the wing, now that they've gotten a second line Center.
