Please show me in any of my posts, where I wish ill-will, or injury upon this guy?
.... I'm just saying that I hate me-first, prima-donna players. Always have. Hated playing on a team with them, and hating watching them. With all of these young propects coming up for the Wild, it would suck to have some kid come in with his "I'm calling the shots even though I haven't done anything yet" attitude. I don't want to see that could rub off on the other rookies. Hockey is a TEAM sport.
I never said you wished harm on him, but mistakenly thought the notion would appeal to you based on my judgement of your stance. I find your assertion that he's a prima-donna baseless and mistook it for simple stupidity when it's obvious that you've really thought this out. Apologies.
This is the same agent as Richards. Same agent as Parise. Guess where Parise will be tomorrow? Holding court. They are treating Schultz--their client--just as they would any other "big deal", in demand free agent.
He exercised his CBA negotiated right. An option specifically placed in the CBA for players in his exact position, this is not a loop hole. I have no problem with players using their negotiated CBA rights.
If this was a loop hole, that may be a different issue, but it's not.
It is still a pretty shady move to not tell the team that drafted you that you`re not signing until it`s too late that the draft team can`t get anything for you.
Boudreau - "I don't know what the heck happened there ... I talked to the kid straight up and said we could use you right now on the big club ... The kid looked me right in the eye and said I can't wait coach, it's what I've always wanted. ... The kid seemed really excited and it seemed like a done deal when all of a sudden something dramatically changed. Someone got to the kid, it seems. I don't know exactly what happened but there's something fishy in Denmark."
Getzlaf - "He better be really good because a lot of players, not just on this team, don't like the way he's handling this situation. We want guys who want to be here and be a part of our team. No one wants to deal with that sh... uh stuff in the locker room."
Yeah it is called agents. well young man stay with anaheim they give yo 1M per for the next 3 years. or walk away and you pick who you go to and they have to pay you 3.775M/yr. for the next two years.
