Probably should close those old ones if either of them sign with us, and update the title if they sign elsewhere.

It's going to be so sweet to see the absolute devastation of Detroit fans when they fail to sign any sought after free agents after they made such a fuss over how players don't have any choice but to sign if Detroit makes an offer.

Detroit will finish the week having signed Semin and Salo for a combined $9MM.

On a serious note, I doubt HF will crash this time.

At least, it shouldn't be like the trade deadline day where the boards had 1-2 hours delay.

Just be prepared to have this line ready if/when we sign Parise...

"Yes, it is an overpayment. Yes, we are comfortable with that."

Completely agree with that.

Be ready with this line if/when we sign Suter. . .

"What were you Detroit fans saying again? Something about Suter being a guarantee?"

Kidding of course as I'm pretty sure that would count as trolling.

Yes, Parise, Semin, Suter, Parenteau, Carle, Garrison, Brodeur, and Hudler have all agreed to come to the Wild for a case of beer and the latest season of Tosh.0, now on Blu-Ray.

Is that the Deep V or High Fashion season of Tosh?

Since we signed Brodeur, does that mean we can trade Backstrom?

I believe it's deep V. High fashion was the first half of season 4 and the second half of season 4 (which has been airing for the last few weeks) is sick kicks for the ladies.

Ok, for those aflutter about Suter... all the rumors point to him taking a few days - up to a week to decide, while rumors point to Parise should decide much quicker ie a day or two at most.

Thus going hard after Parise to start makes more sense. Obviously get in contact with Suter early, and keep in contact with him etc... but if you can get Parise early, that makes the pitch to Suter that much stronger.

yeah but the worry is we're going to pitch hard enough at Parise that we won't be able to pitch to Suter. whereas detroit can (doubt they will though) overpay both more than we can.

So in my dream last night, Parise signed a fairly cheap contract with us, something like 6.5 or so a year, for eight years. On top of that, we signed Langenbrunner for a year for one million, Suter for seven years at 6 million.

I woke up so happy, thinking that it actually happened and it was Monday Morning. Talk about disappointment and a buzzkill in here Hopefully Parise signs here though.

That seems about right. But I'm not sure I even want the Cloquet Native JL
