I honestly thought this illustrated our weakness in pretty much everything. reading through the depth chart was painful for me.

Kule should be on the RW side as that is what he plays most for us. If you are going to keep Kule on the LW side because you feel it is his natural position than you should move Lupul to the RW side because that is his natural position.

  1. Better to rank players in terms of natural position, and not by what the played as last season (IMO). But you do both - Lupul is a natural RW who played on the left and Kulemin is a natural LW who played on the right. That just makes a mess of things.
  2. It's way too premature to rank the players the Leafs drafted this year.

My perceived depth chart below:

Anyways, I think LL just categorized the players for you guys to make your own depth charts and post them here. He did a lot of the work of actually cataloging them.
Sorry, was thinking Grabo, typed Kessel. It has been fixed.

1 - Phaneuf
2- Gunnar
3 - Gardiner
4 - Liles
5 - Franson
6 - Komisarek

if you go by ice time. Now imagine +Suter

1. Suter
2. Phaneuf
3. Gunnar
4. Gardiner
5. Liles
6. Franson

All of a sudden Phaneuf is an elite number 2, Gunnar-Gardiner is pretty elite for 2nd pairings, Liles-Franson is arguably one of the best third pairings

Yup burke and Nonis hate good players. I hear they are trying to trade Kessel for Gomez right now.

Richard Greenop was not qualified as an RFA, such that we no longer have his rights. Grant Rolheiser was not offered a contract after a 4 year uni career, no longer have his rights. Rolheiser is attending the Dallas rookie camp. Greenop missed all of 2011/2012 with post concussion syndrome. Not good for an enforcer.
