Nash, Doan, Ryan...and other Rangers possibilities

Really doubtful on the chances of signing Zach Parise. My sense is that he'll be on the Wings or Wild.

Two of the three above need to be acquired by trade. Still believe Nash is main target, but they could easily afford Doan or Ryan.

Thinking Del Zotto will accept an offer of about $2 million.

Wouldn't be shocked if Zenon Konopka replaced Brandon Prust.

Low cost options on depth D: Milan Jurcina, Bryan Allen, Shane O'Brien, Greg Zanon, Filip Kuba?
http://www.newsday.com/blogs/sports/...ties-1.3815949

Easily afford Ryan?

DZ will command more than $2M

Konopka is a center. The Rangers will pursue him to fill for void for a faceoff guy.

This is what happens when you spend 2 weeks in Ireland and returned to the States 2 days ago.

I could tell you what happens when you spend 9 months in Poland, but would need a historian... Damn Euro drunkards

If the Rangers don't want to give up any assets, an off season comprised of signing Doan, Konopka, and a Dman like Allen will be a good step forward. Only problem is I don't see Sather waiting until July 8th to see what Doan wants to do while other options are signed or traded in the mean time.

Ideally I'd like to see the Rangers trade fir Ryan and then sign Doan a couple days later. That's a pipedream though.

Why do we need a RHD? According to Zipay, we traded for Brad Stuart at the trade deadline. Should've just re-signed him!

Shane Doan is not leaving phx unless they do. Parise is going to be offered the moon and stars by Minnesota. Suter does not want to come east as been said many times. So we r down to Semin, Jagr, Whitney, and a whole bunch of nothing. Either we make a trade for a top 6 guy, or we pretty much go into next year with the same team and same issues like it or not

Does Joe Corvo have much left in the tank? Would like to sign him to a one year deal as a stop gap. Gives Sauers a chance to recover. I believe Mike Sauers will be back @ some point during the season

It's a moot point because he's not signing for 1 or 2 years

yea probably gonna be the same as the past 2 offseasons bring in an upgrade on offense on offense or some replacements for the bottom 6 and keep the core intact

They're not trading the pieces necessary to complete a deal for Ryan.

Ummm - we have the following players signed as of now:

Richards
Cally
Dubinsky
Boyle
Hagelin
Anisimov
Rupp
Kreider
Stepan

McD
Staal
Girardi

Lundqvist
Biron

Sauer and Gaborik will be on IR to start the season
Stralman and MDZ are qualified, Stralmans return is uncertain though
Erixon may graduate

9 fwds
3 defenseman
2 goalies

We will sign at least 4 Fwds and 2 defenseman this offseason. Whether or not they were previously Rangers property or not I do not know... Do not see any graduating players (other than aforementioned Erixon) onto the NYR opening night roster as of now...

Another question, anyone see an offer sheet for mDZ appearing if he is offered 2 m?

Once howson comes off his high horse, Nash would actually be cheaper than Ryan though in either case someone like stepan would have to go the other way. And no I'm not advocating that just pointing out the reality of the situation

I think we're going to wait for Parise to make his decision before making any other major moves.
