Yeah, for sure. He needs to find a team that has a chance to at least get close to the finals. Like maybe a team that has been in the conference finals recently.

It was all trumped up nonsense. Guy doesn't even say hell or damn. I heard him mic'd up during a fist fight and all he said to the guy was "puke". It was an intense game. He missed a wide open net and screamed "fudge!". He was really letting the "dangs" and "hecks" fly that day.

His parents own and operate Christian Youth camp in Alberta. Shane was literally raised in church camp. He lived at church camp until he left for Kamloops.

He does not have a dirty mouth and would not make a Franco slur.

It was all nonsense.

It's so obvious that he doesn't want to come to Quebec.

Uncle! Uncle!

Yeah, I never bought the whole racial slur thing. Lots of other players, I can see it. But Doan? My grandma said worse racial things than I can ever picture him saying.

That said, I'm pretty certain he would not make the trip to QC. He's been pretty clear that he wants to keep his family here. He's got a business, his wife has a business, I just don't see him putting them through the culture shock.

Man, Doan would be perfect for the Oilers.

Would LOVE to see him in Boston (provided that the AAV is right).

Lots of people asking me about Shane Doan to Boston. Won't happen. He will stay west and close to Phoenix. Also won't sign today probably.

Well, how quick Whitney left it sure is not best of the news for fans. Both players publicly stated being irritated with team's ownership issues.

John Gambadoro‏@Gambo620

Shane Doans priority is to remain a Coyote but if the Glendale lease deal is delayed beyond July 7th look for him to entertain offers.

John Gambadoro‏@Gambo620

If that happens San Jose could be the leader for Captain Coyotes services. Doan is looking for a 5-year deal with Phx.

5 years is a long time.

Hopefully lots of teams balk at that, but the Habs don't.

It's really not likely though

Whoa. 5 years for a 35 year old? Now that's going to limit the amount of teams interested if he's stuck on that term.

Dallas is fairly close, he'll be in Phoenix at least 3 times a year, and he's already got some ties to people in the organization. We need some more grit in our top 6 and have one final spot. A perfect fit, if you ask me.

Obviously, only if Phoenix doesn't work out. I'd like to see him stay there, naturally, but would love to see him in a Stars' sweater even more.

You guys did pick up the Wizard. That's likely to be a good selling point.

I hope Colorado extends him an offer >.< We're pretty close to Phoenix relative to a lot of other places

I'm surprised he's not going for 1 year deals if he wants to stay in Phoenix but doesn't want to be forced to move.

I think any team would love to have him, but I think that if not Phoenix, it'll be a California team, Colorado or Dallas, based on the geography.

You're leading scorer by a long shot just left, and nothing to replace his production.

I hope something positive comes very soon for that franchise. Now that ATL moved to Winnipeg I was pulling for PHO to stay

Would love to see him on the Pens roster. I know he won't come this far east, but if he would I'd love to have him.

At least he plays for teams that get to go through handshake lines.

I could see the Canucks going as high as $5M for the 3 years. Don't think they'd go any longer but maybe slightly higher for a shorter term. Doan would be a great fit alongside the Sedins.
