I hope Detroit swings and misses on every relevant player. Just to shut their fans up

Man i couldn't sleep last night. I was so excited for today. Even though I anticipate some of the big guys won't be signed right away.
My guess of some moves:
Parise - Penguins
Semin - Red Wings
Garrison & Mueller - Wild
Suter - Nashville
Carle - Penguins
Of course we go with some minnnesota connections but not the big guys everyone is talking about.

Yikes, I hope you are wrong, Garrison will be a huge overayment mistake, and Mueller makes PMB look like Cal Ripken Jr.

Jordan Staal re-signed with Carolina, 10 years, 60 million. Wowza.

I am keeping my expectations very low. Those signings might even be a little to much wishing from me. I don't want Garrison but I do like Mueller. The hope is that if I just keep my expectations super low I can't be too disappointed ya know.

I'm gonna try to keep my expectations low but it won't last. I'm going to do a standing backflip if we get Parise or Suter.

So what do yo guys think of the the two old Coyotes Doan and Whitney?
Personally I would love either one on the team for the right contract.

I think Doan sounds like a good fit in Pittsburgh if they lose out on Parise...
Outside of that, not sure he leaves Phoenix.

All you need is to be ticked off enough and you can punch through just about anything. Adrenaline is a wonderful thing.
So, 30 minutes to go...

not related but interesting
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Crosby #'s starting to surface. The first 3 years are at $12M. He will make close but below $11M AAV the first 9 years of 12 year deal. #TSN

Think Parise and/or Suter could see similar front-loaded figures? Slightly lower?

Parise's contract from the Wild will be sadly very close ... We will be offering him 11+ the first two years.
Suter should be looking at near $8.5, if he takes the money over location

Nick Cotsonika@cotsonika
According to @AnsarKhanMLive, Wings owner Mike Ilitch and Chris Chelios scheduled to visit Ryan Suter's farm in Wisconsin.
-----
Thought Suter wasn't going to take visits from teams?

I heard that as well. Apparently it was wrong?
And I just had a scare at my house. My internet was not working on any device and power-cycling the router and modem did not work for about 20 minutes. Then I gave up and was about to call our internet company when it popped back on, by itself.
Oh well. I won't complain. Less than 15 minutes!
