Jordan Staal re-signs with Carolina. Looks like the same contract that the Penguins offered, 10 years, $60 million.

Yikes. He will get more playing time, but that's still a lot. A pretty big gamble, imo.

Armstrong
Samuelsson- 1 yr deal
Boyes
Mueller
Tootoo
Lagenbrunner- 1 yr deal
Parenteau
Asham

Really it makes sense to kick the tires on Parise but he won't come to LA.

The Kings are just pretty much set. I would like for Penner to come back but that is mainly sentiment talking.

We have Loktionov, Clifford and Richardson looking for time now.

We have Kozun and Vey coming into camp.

Hyka, Pearson, and Toffoli could be darkhorses to make the team.

I wish the NHL network would start covering things themselves and stop piggybacking on TSN. I get tiring hearing about the same six teams all the time

It's like you can't have a conversation with Dreger without it involving the Canucks. Even if what you were talking about had NOTHING to do with them.

On that note, it sucks that Brian Duff left the NHL Network. Last night's OTF was his last show. He was the best host on OTF...Super Objective.

No reports of the kings brass being at Newport sports agency yet. Last year they were locked out of the building.
