I would like to see Prust brought in. What i don't want to see is Tambo overpay for somebody like Carle or Garrison and even Suter as good as he is.
I think that trading for a defensive defenseman like Methot is the smarter way to go and go with a defense by committee and see if one of Schultz or Petry steps up to be a top pairing guy.

I'm always leery about trades though, and who/what might potentially end up going the other way. If it's an overpay for a guy like Methot, I dunno. I'd much rather see the stopgap acquired through FA. He is a decent option.

maybe no 12, but his compete level, forecheck, offense, D, etc... is pretttttty top tier for his size/stature.

Of course it depends on who is moved but i don't see Methot being THAT expensive to acquire. It would be great to add a guy like him so that we have a great mix of puckmovers in J. Schultz, Petry and Whitney along with defensive guys like Smid, N. Schultz and Methot. No real elite guys but no weaknesses either.

We signed Yann Danis to a 1 year deal
