The Oilers resigned Danis to a one year deal solid, not completely trying to undo all the good gained with the Justin Schultz sign....just most of it.

I also have a gut feeling that if the prize is deemed worth it, I could see Tobias Reider being dangled as well.
My gut tells me Paajarvi is on his way out, but I might also add Hemsky to your list. He could be dangled if we're going after a top pairing defenseman.

Oilers just tweet that we have resigned Denis... astute move for this club.

Is TSN's coverage going to be streamed on the website or elsewhere?

I didn't expect Yann Danis to re-sign at all.

But I'm glad he did. Should be a nice 1-2 tandem with him and Olivier Roy, and Bunz starting in the ECHL.

Website, and if you have a smartphone/tablet, their app will have it too apparently.

I think they usually stream it there. But you should be able to find streams online as well.

That Cam Barker guy could be a good pick-up

We still need a top 4 Dman and a decent bottom 6 winger.

Would also be nice to jettison Khabi and pick-up a an upgrade in net.

Good signing. Now trade Khabbi to a cap floor team. (I know he is AHL bound but one can dream)

What it anything are the oilers looking for today? I'm still pumped about the schultz signing so I wouldn't be mad if they did nothing

Sounds like the Wings are going all-in for Parise.

You'd think after losing Lidstrom, they'd be more interested in Suter.

He was a huge part of OKC's success last year, and frankly we also need him if (when) Khabi goes down. TBH, I'd rather have Denis in the NHL lineup than Khabibulin, but it is what it is.

Ninja edit.
I read your post wrong.

Solid resigning, Danis was a huge reason the Barons were so successful last season.

A top 4 d-man is what they still need and I believe Bob Stauffer tweeted last night he doesn't think they are done trying to bolster the blue line.

I'm all for an Oilers upgrade in net, but I'll bet that Khabi's role next season will be every bit as much "the grizzled Russian vet who'll keep a weather eye on Nail" as it is "backup goaltender".

It's my belief that Ales Hemsky is heavily in play today on the trade front. #TSN

Bad form to re sign him and then deal him IMO.

True, he can show him the best kinds of liquor and tricks of the trade in hiding it in water bottles.

NOOOO. Bad ethics to trade a guy before his contract has even begun.

1) Get the Gagner thing figured out, would he be so bad if we could flank him with a gritty winger that takes draws? Steve Ott seems like a good choice but does he have the talent to play with Gags and who-ever is on the right side? I like most posters prefer a replacement for Gags before we just dump him.

2) No monster signings: Suter, Parise forget about it, I understand we need a Suter but let's not screw this up like Chicago: Signing big money guys before the "Core" is signed could be asking for a serious problem down the road.

3) I wouldn't care if they did nothing today, but would like to see a little shuffling in the bottom 6 for sure.

4) Smytty can sign in Cowtown for all I care

Good luck Oiler fans! So excited about the Schultz choosing us situation yesterday, our franchise is slowly turning the corner! Happy Canada Day

doesn't sound like anything concrete behind this, only his "belief".

Happens all the time.

No room for him at RW, have no reason to expect he can play LW.
