McClement is a great PK'er so if we got him he could replace part of what Prust did, for less money.

How come there is no talk about Weber? Did someone not notify me that he isn't a free agent? Oh, RFA.

Hilarious that there's a line of ice cream trucks outside Newport Sports expecting a throng of Canadians awaiting Parise's decision.

Bruce Boudreau must be pissed that he didn't get sent as Anaheim's contingent. Could've wrote all that ice cream off as a business expense!

He's got an ice cream truck parked outside of his house...

Justin Schultz interview on NHL Network. Says Edmonton was the front runner the whole time and he was sure he was gonna go there. Way to make this whole thing out of nothing you ****** bag.

Can we change the name of this thread to "P.A. Parenteau Watch"? Most exciting UFA by far...

Yup, got into a whole debate with people about that in the Schultz thread yesterday because I claimed that was what was going on. Guess I was right

I would laugh if Brodeur signs with Chicago.

You do know that's exactly what Brad Richards said and did right? Do you think he's a ********* too?

That would be some confidence booster for Crawford. Bringing in the 40 year old whale to replace you in net.

Would be hilarious, but I just can't see the Devils letting it happen--even if they need to take out a second mortgage on Vanderbeek's house. Losing Brodeur, let alone Parise + Brodeur, would be a PR nightmare.

No, because Richards is a veteran trying to get the most money he can. Schultz was signing an ELC for the maximum price. Every team offered the same amount, the maximum. It all came down to where he wanted to play.

Richards was a 31 year old UFA trying to get a great contract. Schultz contract was set in stone. If you wanted Edmonton, why didn't you just sign with Edmonton? He's a diva.

It's different. Richards had already proven himself as extremely competent at the NHL level. Schultz hasn't.
