LOL.

Funny because that is what would happen.

Either way this team is ****ed if Bryz goes down regardless. You can say who's better on the market but the reality is they aren't even top backups. The only one i would be comfortable with is Clemmenson but Florida did the smart thing and resigned him.

I'm hoping that Hovinen plays well enough that he can get a few starts in the NHL because 15 starts for leighton is bad for two things: too many games for leighton and not enough rest for Bryz

I really wanted anyone but Leighton to be honest.

Can't believe some people are saying "over"reaction...do you guys even understand how bad this is? A guy thats not even good for the ahl is going to get starts in the nhl. And when bryz inevitably gets injured, we'll just be in such great shape, lol.
Worst way to start off this off-season.

Wow. Why not sign an NHL backup to play in the NHL? Oh right...Holmgren.

For now, I only choose to see the humor in this. Also, Leighton is going to win the Cup after an emergency start in Game 7, completing the most improbable story of redemption in NHL history.

Gustaffson from the Leafs just signed with Detroit. I would have preferred him.

Ok, but you do realize Leighton is the absolute worst back up goalie in the league, by leaps and bounds.

If any goalie gets less then Leighton I will rage.

Clemmensen got $1.2M
Gustavsson got $1.5M

Oh yeah? There are plenty of no-name backups that have far less experience...

Don't understand Homer's trigger happiness there at all.

I guess his wicked logic was: "The evil that you know is better...."

why not just sign someone like Al Montoya??? Or WAIT to sign you back-up goalie and see how it plays out. Nope. We jumped the gun the first time we signed him, then Bryz, now Leighton again!!!

How hilarious would it be if - after all the ridiculous back and forth about Nash/Suter/Parise - this is the only move the Flyers make?
