John Mitchell is going to play on the 4th line seeing no power play time I don't see a problem here.

We said the same thing.

Among depth forwards John Mitchell was the most impressive
Top teams like Canucks, Red Wings, etc have puck possession players. John Mitchell is very good at possessing the puck. The perfect bottom 6 player.

So was Marcel Hossa (in fact, he was a lot better than Mitchell in that aspect).

I like the Mitchell signing, fills a need for cheap-ish.

I laughed at the addition of Maybe to the Carkner signing, well done.

I feel bad for Avs fans. This guy will make you want to throw your TV out the window so many times this year. He's absolutely brutal and one of the worst players I've ever seen in the NHL. He can't play any significant minutes, thinks he's a top 6 guy but isn't, doesn't think the game well at all and sometimes tries to do it all himself, will do this very irritating thing where he has the puck and skates around the offensive zone multiple times before either shooting the puck into someones shins or gives the puck away leading to an opportunity to the other team.

He is absolutely brutal.

At least Carkner is tough and can play some minutes without hurting the team.
LOL everyone needs to chill out.

Mitchell is a 4th line center. He will be playing 10 minutes a night. Chill.

I'd be surprised if Carker gets a 2 year deal. He struggled during the season with the sens but he did have a decent playoffs though (only played 4 games).

The Carkner deal was more frightening. I can live with Mitchell and see what he can do at 4th line C. The Carkner deal makes absolutely no sense at all, so hopefully its not true

You're about to see why they call him Johnny Malkin.

Johnny Dangles, ive often thought if he could make it to the NHL, anyone can.

Guy is terrible. Somehow he winds up in offensive zone situations and does nothing at all.

I was so happy when toronto traded him for a 14th round pick or whatever it was, I can imagine NYR fans feel the same today.

Torrey Mitchell isn't a center, which is what the Avs needed. He only took 286 faceoffs in San Jose the last two years, and was well under 50% on them.

Lol at Ranger and leaf fans. Mitchell won't be getting pp time. Where's he going to play? We have landeskog- stazz- Jones -Johnson - Wilson on the top unit. Duchene-Ror- Mcginn - obrien- elliot/barrie on the second. Sacco would put Hejduk, Downie ahead of Mitchell. So calm down Ranger fans

Yeah, that's what they all say. Then for whatever reason you'll see him out there in all special teams situations and when the goalies pulled and can't understand why. He will drive you absolutely insane.

One of (if not THE) worst players to ever play in the NHL. No way this guy should have a job in the NHL.

This was basically our (Leafs fans) reaction when we heard he was traded to NYR. Couldn't believe another team actually wanted him.

I'm sure you know more about our team then we do.

I've never seen someone whine so much about a freaking 4th liner who's going to play 10mins at best.

Clearly you don't know the history of Johnny 'Malkin' Mitchell. There's a reason so many Leafs and Rangers fans are here speaking negatively about him, but believe what you'd like. What do we know, right?

LOL Im telling ya man Smitty above you is right. You think he is just a 4th line plug and then all of a sudden he is on the second power play unit. i thought it was just on Toronto because we suck, but then I watched Torts using him the same way on the Rangers. You wait, he posesses evil powers that make coaches play him in situations he has no business being in.
