Jagr, Lats or AK, Prust and Garrison. Garrison above all for me. Any of these forwards are short term deals or no go . I say AK because how he clicked with Eller. Does sound like Prust wants too much, but put in a bid were okay with and see what happens.

You can give that to Lats, but he's still a one-dimensional goal scorer who hasn't played much in the last couple of years. I don't know if he'll be a good fit.

I like Lats , always liked him when he was a hab, but I don't know if he's the fix for our scoring issues.

Holmgren is like Mad Mike with the exception that he knows what hes doing. Just the number of big trades Im talking about.

I'd take Carker if he didn't have a bounty on his head for curbstomping Boyle last May.

Ah what the hell. I'd take him anyway. Bring it.

They don't really have a choice they lost Jagr and Carle and their defense was already weak.

The problem with Carkner is you either have to dress 7 d-men or sit out guys much more talented like Diaz or Emelin to play him. Very poor fit in Montreal.

Sure they have a choice. But they always choose to be aggressive.

Its enough with the talk of Parise AND Suter to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh will have SERIOUS cap issues in 2 seasons if they would sign one. Yes, they have 12 mil cap room presently, but the cap is not guaranteed to remain at 70.2 Million. Also, in 2 years Letang, and Malkin need contracts.. So sign parise and lose one or both of Letang and Malkin..

Does he know what he's doing though? Their goalie situation is still as mess, as is their defense.

Pittsburgh and Philly are the ones who comes up because players want to win and they think they have a better chance with those 2 teams, and those 2 teams have a better chance to win because big names want to sign there.

Its a vicious circle, and the annual raise of the salary cap is helping them big time

There is no point in being 12-15 mil under the cap. Pretty much all big markets spend within 2-3 mil of the cap.

It was just posted that Carkner hasn't made a decision yet with his family if he wants to go to Colorado.
