Both possible candidates since they have tried hard to get established on the Russian marked for 15+years now, with limited success. I figured Carlsberg would be the most obvious since they didn't extend their deal with Liverpool FC, and they could afford it.

I also thought about some of the other questions as to where it should be placed and what the lineup would look like ect.

It has to be located in Copenhagen for travel and sponsorship purposes.

Ill put it all out there, just for fun.

2015-16
Copenhagen Classics (eventough I prefer Royals),
Location Oerestaden Multi Arena, Copenhagen.
Sponsered by Carlsberg

Possible KHL Lineup:

N. Hardt '88 - Dustin Boyd (I) '86 - Mike Iggulden (I) '82
J. Jakobsen '87 - M. Madsen '87 - T. Spelling '93
F. Storm '89 - P. Bjørkstrand '92 - K. Starkov '87
Extras (J. Jensen '87 - J. Karvinen '86)

D

J. Jensen '91 - Oliver Lauridsen '89
S. Lassen '85 - S. Grønvaldt '91
Extras (K. Jensen '87 - P. Hersby '84)

G
Alex Auld (I) '81
S. Nielsen '86
Extra (S. Dahm '87)

Farm team (B-team) in the "Super Is-Ligaen":

Lasse Lassen '89 - Michael Daugulis (I) '85 - B. Møller '85
Kim Johansson (I) '88 - Sebastian Ehlers - Mark Mieritz
Rasmus Astrup - Christian Vaagensø - Michael Smidt
Patrick Rasmussen - Nikolaj Zorko - Nicklas B. Carlsen

Mike Rådde (I) '88 - Philippe Paquet (I) '87

I'm so excited for these Olympics I wish the NHL would do a World Cup every 4 years, alternating every 2 years w/ Olympics.

I actually like the name Copenhagen Classic since it's an abbrivation....(Classic it's more like Tuborg though - more Gentofte than Copenhagen).
Thats some heavy KHL line up you make there......that would take some BIG money to gather a team like that! Some interesting choices of playing Morten Madsen as center and having Kirill Starkov on a fourth line. Like that you have faith in Frederik Storm. Thomas Spelling i would think would be lost to NA...i would put Kirill Starkov on that 3rd line spot instead and then have Jesper "A" Jensen on the fourth line. He is too good just to be an extra! Some really quality defence there, but again don't really see Oliver Lauridsen in Europe. His body is definitely for NHL/AHL.

Interesting that you also but a farm team together. It would certainly also by quite good for the danish league! Why you only want danish players to move between farm league and KHL team? What if its a danish bred foreign league player like Kirill Starkov, how would he be catagorized?

But but... owned by Carlsberg. (nice save eh???

I believe Carlsbergs last sponsorship deal with Liverpool FC was aprox. 8,6mill EUR a season. How would that compare against some of the other KHL teams sponsorship deals?

About Morten Madsen, I believe he started out as a center and I really like his size in front of the net.
Frederik Storm, is the new Niclas Hardt. I like
Jesper Jensen, maybe you are right but the KHL is a lot stronger than the level of play he has experienced before. Plus the number of games in the KHL, and with the amount of travel, Im expecting injuries.
Spelling/starkov, first he has to succeed. I dont see ever making it as a 3-4liner in the NHL. So the question is, can he make the top-6?
Lauridsen, also has a long way to go, we'll just have to wait and see where he ends up.

I only put danish players, so that some of the youngsters could get a smell of the action. (probably should have clarified it with those who holds a danish passport).

Jekimovs is on fire in sm-liga 5 games 4 goals. If he continues like this he will be in our wc 2013 roster for sure.

I hope Girgensons goes to Kelowna, will certainly help his offensive development.

Problem is he sounded pissed at the Kelowna organisation, I believe they made up a rumour of being close to signing him or something like that, which wasn't true according to Zemgus. I don't know if he will want to go there but since he is signed he will have to go where he is assigned. Kelowna already has two imports so most likely situation is they move one of their imports ( most likely Vasko ) or trade the rights of Girgonsons to a contending team.

I think these speculations about Kelowna are pointless. I think he'll play with Amerks till he gets called up to the NHL. I see no strong reason why he wouldn't be good already in AHL.

He can most certainly make the AHL but he would not likely be in the top 6 which isn't ideal for an 18 year olds offensive development.

Very,VERY early prediction of our WC roster for 2013 if everyone is available

Miķelis Rēdlihs-Sprukts-Dārziņš
Miks Indrašis-Girgensons-Karsums
R.Jekimovs-Bļugers-Daugaviņš
Štāls-Džeriņš-Ķēniņš

Artūrs Kūlda-Oskars Bārtulis
Krišjānis Rēdlihs-Guntis Galviņš
Andersons-J.Rēdlihs

Masaļskis
Jučers

I can definitley see Nolan giving chances to young guys (Girgensons,Bļugers) Our D looks great and goaltenting is also good

After the first two exhibiotn games of our NT this season,i`m more than dissapointed.
We looked completely pathetic against russians, loosing both games 1:3. Our offence looked very weak despite the fact that we had a pretty decent roster against Russian B-team. I don`t know maybe this canadian/american style of play is just not working out for Latvian NT,the same as Finnish style didn`t work out for Dinamo Riga. I have a very bad feeling we won`t qualify for OG`s,i hope to god i`m wrong.

Hockey in Latvia is dead. **** KHL and cursed Dinamo. And Savickis with his KGB squad can go **** themselves. All those soviet rats can go **** themselves too!

Maybe it's for the best. Better times will come surely, but we need a time without annual hockey crap. Those unmotivated morons cannot even sing the anthem properly, not to mention the ability to motivate themselves for a game. They could learn a lot from Bobsleigh and skeleton athletes. Something about what dedication is.

Hockey in Latvia is much more alive than it was 5 years ago. Back then I couldn't imagine us staying in WC Elite Division for too long. But now I look at our current WJC squad, at the U18 one as well, and I have hope. Of course, some players will turn out to be busts, but some will flourish.

Girgensons hasn't exactly been stunning in the AHL this season, the transition to professional hockey isn't going that well for him. He's a great talent, but he would be a 3rd/4th-liner at this point, most likely. At best. So you're giving him a lot of credit tbh. He's definitely going to improve over the next few years, but your expectations might be a bit too high.

Ņiživijs, Ķēniņš (can play as a C), Meija, Štāls, even Džeriņš and Bērziņš (C) are better than a 19-year-old Bļugers, who hasn't been shining in the NCAA this season either.

No idea what the 33yo (in Sochi2014) Širokovs from NLB is doing in the lineup.

As for Pelšs, I don't know what to expect from him. His stats are bad in the AHL, I haven't seen that many games of him, apart from the U-20 WJC, where he was pretty solid. In any case, it would make absolutely no sense to have so many young, inexperienced players in the OG, who have 0 experience at this level.

Just because they're playing in NA doesn't mean they're better than the players at home.

Also, what the hell is Porejs doing there? Pretty sure he wouldn't even make my Latvian B team. Not to mention that most likely Galviņš won't play in the national team under Nolan's leadership.

Everything you wrote is reasonable, but still, I can't see Sirokovs or Girgensons being as ineffective as Berzins was during these three games. Also Pelss is a really nice 4th-liner for us to have on the team. Also NHL wants 25 man rosters, so there is two additional spots on a team, there's a space for some surprises.
