If by "whoop", you mean hug him to death, then yes.

Like the idea of Latendresse on our 2nd line. My only beef is Murray's love of gambling on guys with an injury history.

Really? What's the downside of this?
If Latendresse plays 0 GAMES this season, Melnyk loses 1.2 M$.
THAT'S IT
We have a ton of depht to cover for injuries
Use your brains guys, this is a low risk / high reward type of signing, Latendresse had a 27 goals season 2 years ago and he is only 25 y/o.
He was seen as the savior in Montreal a few years ago.

It's like a love triangle of Sens cast-offs/runaways!

We have a ton of forward depth in prospects. Who cares if players get injured.

Parros has the ability to play more than 5 minutes a game doesn't he?
Been a while since I've seen him.

Cause they are easy pickings. They are eager for a contract and a chance. Guys like Parise, Suter, et al want to sign with immediate contenders.

I didn't even know he was a free agent until I saw a tweet about how teams were after him.

So since we know Parise is testing the free market, any hope in hell the sens have a chance at signing him? We definitely have the cap space, I just don't think were the team he's looking for.

Not necessarily, we can afford to have 8 D-men...
Karlsson, Gonchar, Cowen, Phillips, UFA/TRADE, Lundin, Borowiecki... that's only 7

That's because you can really affort it when you're rebuilding and have lower expectations from your fanbase... Keep that in mind people

I really wouldn't want to see that happen. Like people mentioned before, if we're going to overpay for a big name signing, it should be Suter. But seriously we're not getting either.

Reportedly he is looking for $24M signing bonus.
I don't think we can afford that considering possible lockout.

With Alfredsson retiring soon, maybe this year, Praise isthe perfect replacement.
Now an American signing a career deal in Ottawa, Canada, I think it's highly unlikely when there are teams like Minnie, Carolina, LA etc.
