Not saying he's the same player, but Colby has hit 20 goals before too.

At $1 million, to get a guy that is hard on the puck and can score 10-15 goals is great value.

Apparently he's a great locker guy, a bit goofy. I bet he's gonna have fun with PK and Price.

He played with Bergevin and under Therrien in Pittsburgh, so the management obviously know him pretty well and likes what he brings.

Literally nothing to lose.

Not the biggest fan of Armstrong, but this was a fairly predictable signing given the team's needs, his history with key personnel, and how little risk there is to it.

Habs must sign PA Parenteau or Jagr.

I think Therrien knows Armstrong a lot better then all of us so how about you wait and see what he can do. He was good in Pittsburgh, in Toronto he had a lot of injuries, give him a chance

Bourque-Eller-Armstrong could be a really solid line if Armstrong can stay healthy and Bourque can get his act together.

Worth the risk, I think.

Never liked him much though.

colby on tsn now, he seems really ecstatic. Wants to prove the Laffs wrong and thinks therrien believes in him.

(paraphrasing)

Pierre McGuire: "First thing new GM Marc Bergevin and head coach Michel Therrien do: Get on the phone and tell Colby Armstrong to get his butt in shape."
James Duthie: "We have Colby Armstrong on the line."

Colby on TSN right now! Sounds like a kid in a Candy Store, on being a Hab! His boyhood team, was in the Habs fan club as a kid!

i agree on paper that line could be a solid 3rd line, as long as those two bounce back

Good signing for 1 million. Adds sandpaper to the squad and is an upgrade over Darche.

Also, Tender had 2 ? Thought it was groin, then one concussion.

Either way, would have chose Latendresse. I bet he scores 25+ with Ottawa next year.
He missed a lot of games because of a groin injury then he came back played liked 11 games got concussed and missed the rest of the season. That was in 2010-2011.

Last year, he got a concussion early in the season missed 15 games came back, got concussed again and missed the last 50 games of the season. Lats has played only 27 games the last 2 seasons.
