when Homer said "well Leighton is in our system" I assumed that he meant it in the "baaahaaaa could you imagine if I resigned that train wreck?" Kind of way. But he actually meant it in the "oh I have every intention in the world of resigning him." Kind of way

Me drinking whiskey and rye = Pittsburgh signing Parise and/or Suter

If there is a god, Pittsburgh gets neither.

If Pittsburgh signs Parise and suter I will be pissed. But if Pittsburgh signs Parise and lose out on suter, I'll still laught because their defense will still be atrocious.

No he's not.
Yeah, that's an absurd offer sheet. The only offer sheet that might get Weber out of Nashville is a 14/14/10/10/10/8/8/6/6/5 type deal (hugely front-loaded 10 year, 91 million dollar deal) where the team accepts giving up the 4 first round picks.

Honestly, I would give up 4 first rounders for Weber knowing where we'd be picking.

Agreed. A 27 y/o franchise defenseman is more than worth 4 late-first round picks.

Ignoring for a second all these ridiculous twitter accounts, are we just assuming that Crosby is the only player who called Parise?

If so, why didn't we send Giroux out?

Crosby and Parise are Prep. School buddies, apparently.
