Would have preferred Tanner Glass, but Asham was cheaper and now we have more money to spend on scoring/RHD

Seriously. Low priced 4th liners is the way to go. This is a low price move. Save your money for the bigger pieces.

I don't know. I always kind of liked Asham. He's an ******* for sure--but he won't run away from trouble. He never hides. He's capable of playing some minutes as well and once in a while he scores. He's had some good playoffs and he's cheap enough.

Anyway now everyone knows that Slats's nap is over.

Actually this is a good replacement for Prust. similar #s. Asham's a tough guy and very nasty. He's a good fighter. For what he is, asham is a good replacement for prust.

Also I wouldn't have minded Boyes, asham isn't a bad signing for the term given

I don't care if Asham starts stabbing people with a shiv as long as we win.

I like this move. Asham is a pest and can get his hands dirty - something we haven't had since Avery was banished. So far so good!

I mean you can look at this way, Asham is better than Mitchell. That is essentially who he replaces.

I always thought Asham was a pain in the ass to play against. 13th forward.

Asham was only .1M a year cheaper, much prefer the Glass deal.

He's a decent fighter but he can't play hockey, that's the problem.

It's not that I hate the signing. I just hate Asham's guts. He's a dirty ****. He better not give this team a bad name.

Because we gave Asham 2MM over 2 years - i.e. only $1MM per year.

I'm not a huge fan, but the Asham signing makes perfect sense. Can serve the necessary role - until he's replaced by a kid. He, Boyle and Rupp all have 2 years left, which means that Yogan, et. al. have 2 years to get up to speed in the AHL. If they can come in sooner, so much the better.

Yeah i got it now. It was initially reported in the main boards as 2 a year, not 2 total.
