Do you want the Rangers to be associated with cross checking a player in the adam's apple and then punching him in the back of the head? I sure don't. This team is a hard working team that does things the right way (no pun intended).

He's a decent fighter but he can't play hockey, that's the problem.
Can we please stop acting like Prust is Gretzky....they had essentially the same numbers last year and they do the same stuff on the ice...

Exactly, it's all about value. 1.1M is reasonable value for a 4th liner who can agitate and fight.

How much Prust gets will be interesting? Don't think they were lined up waiting to give him 2.3. Hew will regret not taking Slats last offer...1.6?? Don't think he will get that now.

Yeah I agree... but let's not forget that we had a few dirty plays in the playoffs this year.

As long as it's Malkin or Crosby I don't have a problem with it.

Glad Kuba signed elsewhere, doesn't address our need.

If we are going to get a depth Dman better get Salo or Garrison. We need a point shooter.

And when they get a five minute power play and score twice on it, you will.

Sure, call Prust's elbow on Volchenkov dirty, I saw a bit of intention. But no way I'm calling Hagelin's elbow dirty. And that's nothing compared to Asham's laundry list.

You assumed I was comparing Prust to Asham. I never said anything about Prust being a "good" hockey player. Compared to Glass is a better hockey player than Asham especially considering their annual salary is only .1M different.

I thought that was funny too.

Asham is nasty--and he's had his moments but I remember when he let Paul Mara off the hook. First off Mara was about to get his ass kicked (because despite what some people persist in thinking Paul was an awful fighter)--but when he threw his shoulder out throwing a punch Asham just backed off and let him go.

Nobody seemed to have a problem being associated with a guy who elbowed Volchenkov in the back of the head. Half this board wanted Konopka who is just as dirty as Asham is. All about your perspective I guess.

Personally, I'm glad we have a little bit more crazy on this team now. We need to be harder to play against. Asham is a nightmare to play against.
