We can now end the Nash to Ottawa rumors. Foligno was the only really halfway decent piece Ottawa offered in my view.

Oh, and Nick is an American.

Trading a Canadian for an American.... let the Americanization of the CBJ continue... Good deal on paper for the CBJ, Methot more of a anchor because of his position here as projected 7th defenseman, Foligno will be a top six forward for CBJ....

But wait a minute, I thought that Foligno++ was supposed to worth Nash. Not a harmful move by any stretch, but to sign him it will probably take 2.5M a year based on his performance. I just hope that Howson doesn't give him a Brassardesque contract. Not a bad trade, but I think this move is made because Howson is striking out in free agency. Sorry to say this, but Howson has made this franchise such a punchline over the past 2 seasons, that nobody of any ilk want to play here. I hope I'm wrong, I truly do.
