Decent defender to play on your bottom pairing.

What kind of player are we getting in Foligno???

A guy that's 6'4", supposedly took boxing classes two years ago but never fights... often injured, and doesn't hit enough in my opinion.

I know Methot has wheels and is a solid 4/5... but I'm glad hes off the books, the fact that we got something for him is great.

Nikitin is better, at 1/2 the price.

Tough player to play against. Can likely become a 20 goal scorer.

Still unclear. A couple years back, it looked like he might be a capable top pairing or, at worst, second pairing defenseman.

Then he got injured and since then he hasn't played with the same edge.

I heard rumors that he had a bit of an attitude problem and that a recent incident set off management to the point they had enough and wanted to ship him out. Take that for what it is worth. I expect on a competitive team, those issues wouldn't be there anyhow.

There's been debate over whether or not Foligno is a top 6 forward. He can put up points, and is very tough to play against.

If Foligno signs for the same money or less this is a big win. Now we have more room for Murray to play.

Wiz - JJ
Tyutin - Big Vodka
Murray - Moore/Savard

Have no idea what line Foligno will play on.

Foligno is a Leafs killer.

Thanks for stealing him away from the Sens!

At the moment Foligno is in our top 6... However depending on what Nash nets or if we sign Prust or Ponikarovsky.

I want Dorsett to have some legit guys to play with on the 3rd line.

Foligno Letestu Dorsett would be fun to watch.

Prust/Ponikarovsky Letestu Dorsett as well is probably more realistic for the CBJ.

Not a bad D-man. In my book his major flaw was his inconsistency. Will play some sretches great, than suck for a stretch, then be OK for a stretch........you get the picture.

If he can learn to just be good all the time, he will be an asset.

Like the trade, though. Helps with our glut of 5-7 D-men.

Acquiring Prust wouldn't mean Foligno is knocked out of the top six.... Foligno is much more skilled than Brandon.

The Sens forum is pretty mad, which means Howson might have done something right. We'll see.

Fantastic trade. Getting rid of our 7th defenseman, IMO, for a player like Foligno, is great value.

This almost ensures that Murray will be starting with Columbus, if there was any doubt about it.

Foligno can play TOP 6 IMo he has potential and better think of play than Umberger

Good player that's gotten better every single year. Started off going for a role as a skill guy, but has developed more towards a power forward. Really hit his stride last season and added a mean streak to his game. Goes very hard to the net, and gets a lot of dirty goals. Can play top or bottom 6.

I'm sorry our management gave up on him. I think he'll just keep getting better. Might have been a salary issue.

Don't mind the trade. I wonder what Foligno will get from Howson? Anyone know what he was making last year?

Is he better of as a center or a winger? Does he become the number 2 center and we move Letestu back to the 3rd line?

So we now have 0 shutdown defensemen and that pairing(Murray/Moore or Savard) that TW had is scary. Two young guys as pair makes me nervous, even if it's the 3rd pairing. Howson needs to sign a veteran defensive defensemen imo. Bryce Salvador anyone? He can tutour Murray perhaps?

Good luck to Methot.

Methot got squeezed out of the line up, even though he fits the type of player it appears the blue line needs at the moment.

Will probably be a good trade for both teams IMO.

Bottom 2 d-men possibilities: R. Murray, J. Moore, D. Savard, N. Holden, and outside shots for T. Ruth and C. Goloubef.

I don't think slow footed, mental midget defenseman is what we lack. If we needed more of that, we do have Savard.
