King is a LW and Nolan is a RW. I see Lewis on the third line and king with Fraser and Nolan on the fourth line.
I know King is a LW but so is Gagne and he's the vet, therefore he gets to keep his position. King can use that left shot coming down the right wing effectively. He needs to be on the 3rd line, not the 4th. I have him over Lewis right now. Better offensive game.

I think most NHLers can play their off wing. Some suck at it but look at Brown. RW forever and spent all year on LW. Nolan played both in Manch I believe. And yes. Clifford is in the A where he ****ing belongs.

King isn't going to push lewis off the third line. Sutter loves Lewis and king will move up when there are injuries.
How are teams going to match up against the kings fourth line of King-Fraser-Nolan? Kings are going to be deadly on all four lines. Kings have some depth for injuries too. Richardson and Clifford can fill in the bottom six, king and Penner/Gagne can fill in on the top six. Carter can move to center.
Not a big fan of just having two guys in the lineup that will drop the gloves on a consistent basis (Nolan and Fraser)...I want Clifford in the lineup consistently

I am so glad the Kings are done with goons.
Nolan and fraser is fine, Richards will also drop em. Brown too.
But I would rather the Roster play, than fight meaningless fights.
I really do want Doan on this team for his fit with the team, but I would go 1 year on him. See how he does and see after Quick's extension how much space we have. If guys like Toffoli and Pearson are ready he won't be needed for a 2nd season.
One year for 4.5 to 5 million would be a good signing
Doan at 4.5 to 5 is a gross overpayment. No thank you. Doan at 3-3.5 is in the ballpark.

I kinda figured that if Doan was signing here it was to try and win a cup and his salary would be smaller than normal. Unless he is signing for only 1 year no thanks to anything over 3.6.
Doan is going to make $4.5 million for 3 years at the very minimum, I would guess.

Doan could easily get over 5 million. Two good years from Parenteau got him 4 million per year for 4 years. Doan has had years and still has gas left in the tank. And if Penner and Stoll can get 3.25 after their seasons Doan is easily worth over 4 million. If he gets a one year deal he would be an easy fit at over 5 million let alone 4.5 million.
