13/100m deal was reportedly on the table for Suter not Parise from what I understand and still no word on who made that offer.

Spector's reported that too, as well with Suter.

You guys have to remember that a big chunk of that money is probably signing bonus, thus lowering the caphit

I think Rutherford also said something about "finalists" being known tonight.

That implies that Parise is going to cut the list to handful of teams and sleep on it? Seems reasonable.

Sam Carchidi ‏@BroadStBull

RT @LukeDeCock: Canes expect update on Parise within the hr, whether they're on shortlist or out. Suter process moving more slowly.

They aren't counted in here and other deals signed last year.

With all these crazy contracts, I hope the Flyers stay out of it. Next year's class is way better. Let the penguins tie up huge cap space in three players, 2 of which the Flyers shut completely down in the playoffs with a team of rookies.

To be fair, us standing pat puts us in a much better position next year since we lose some more contracts (Shelley, Leighton, Timonen) and we have the uncertainty of the new CBA eliminated.

Plus, next year also has some high quality UFA's which certain teams will be unable to sign due to the **** storm that is this FA year.

Could be beneficial

Making a snap signing to retaliate for Pittsburgh signing Parise is the most short-sighted decision the Flyers could make given who else is available this season and how outrageous the contracts are. Sooo stupid.

12/100 comes out to what, $7.7 million?

That's actually a smaller portion of the cap than we gave Briere at the time, right?
