i thought is was the exact opposite? didn't he take it really badly, and blame himself for the loss?

I guess it isn't a flyers offseason if there isn't at least one horrific signing

By the way, in the playoffs, he was still behind Cash as punishment for whatever happened in 2011

I don't hate this deal. I guess everyone forgot about the 2010 ECF?

The defensive ability that babysat him while thoroughly dominating Montreal is completely gone from the team.

Name one that played in game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals that went overtime, and managed NOT to give up a ridiculously soft overtime goal.

Other than that, I would have preferred not to have him signed, but whatever. I don't really give a **** at this point and can live with the signing.

He's MFL - I think we know.

Seriously, how the hell does Homer throw more money at that turd? And before free agency starts... there are no words or justification.

I just hope that Rick Nash deal doesn't happen. Then I'll jump the Holmgren hate bandwagon. I want more D men and Jagr this FA, that's it.

Paul Holmgren to Ryan Suter's agent: "Okay, we've offered you $15 million per year for the next 17 years and a full no-movement clause. And still you're unsure. What can we do to convince you?"

Suter's agent: "Ryan really needs to get out from under the negative reputation of being carried by Weber and bailed out by Rinne. Since you have nobody approaching Weber, why don't you sign the worst possible goaltender as back-up?"

Holmgren: "I know just the guy, and actually have him in my speed-dial."

Bet he does better than bobrovski did for less money, and people fuss over nothing because they have an axe to grind since he was the only goalie ever in the history of hockey to give up a no look knuckleball in ot.

He's an NHL backup, AHL starter. Good signing, he deserves it after saving the season for us in 2010.
