To play the line games, gotta think this signing was a deal with pavelski so thatd hed play line 3.

Think
xxx-Pavelski-Burish
Galliardi-Desjardins-Wingels

or some combination.
None of those players are really physical..Burish is a good start...so is Stuart.

Haha how many times are we going to hear the Sharks spin the Stuart signing and say "we already made a big free agency move with Brad"

Burrish & Pavs will be laughing in their side-by-side lockers doing secret handshakes and telling inside jokes

while Logan Couture sits quietly in the opposite corner of the locker room, a single tear streaming down his cheek, clutching and staring at this picture

I think Burish will be an awesome fit with Desi on the fourth line. I Assuming Gali re-signs his QO, we have 6 mill left to fill out two forward spots.

Good signing. Overpayment doesn't really matter when you're in the ballpark of 400kish.

Agreed. The term doesn't bother me either, given that he's what, 29? It's not like he's 35 or something. Given how much salaries have been inflating, that salary is going to be looking like a real steal in 3 years.

David Pollak ‏@PollakOnSharks
Burish: "If I were on Sharks and had to listen to everybody rag on Joe Thornton every year in playoffs, it'd piss me off." Wants that to end.

Makes me feel better about the signing - that he actually came out and said this. Hopefully he thinks its ******** like many of us sharks fans do.

If we're using him on the 3rd line, we're overextending him. He's a 4th liner that will help kill penalties. This isn't being done to play with Pavelski, I don't think.

Burish likes to talk doesn't he? 4 years and 1.8 mill for a 4th liner? What happened to the days when 4th liner made 1 mill tops? It should be league min to 1 mill for 4th liners and a 1-2 year deal. 1.8 mill is for a third liner. Just because the cap increased doesn't mean you have to overpay scrubs. Not excited about this signing.

I think its obvious we are going to put Pavs on the 4th line and run with FHOF Hertl as the third line center.

So does this mean no Rick Nash?

*crosses fingers*

Also with this signing it looks like we're keeping Niemi. Burish played extremely well defensively with him in Chicago. Had a .935 save percentage.

I don't think one player can really drive the save percentage of goalies over a long time. Systems certainly can, and if a player is the one crafting the system, then yes, but I doubt Burish is that type of player.

I just went from completely despising Burish to having a man crush on him. Hopefully he can play a little hockey too.
