This must mean the end of the road for Weber and/or Diaz. There's simply no more room for both of them next season, and the season after we will be seeing the new wave of young guys.
That being said, I don't like the move. Yes its better than Campoli, Picard, et al. but we could do better than the Bouillon farewell tour.
If they can move Kaberle's deal than Bouillon is better 7th defenceman than him. I think they must really bank on Emelin becoming a top-four w/ Markov. Still watn them to add a nasty defenceman with size.
I don't mind the French factor but when 9/10 new people hired are French, and then Francois fkn Bouillon gets a deal when we already have too many **** dmen... ****ing stupid.
I don't mind the Bouillon signing as depth on D with a guy with a lot of hustle and heart but i do mind the 1.5 millions, even if it's for only one year.....
Fantastic signing , can't believe people are complaining on such a small $ deal for such a warrior who definitely WANT to play here. This only shows the complete lack of respect some fans have for the kind of players that are warriors and ready to suffer for the Montreal Canadiens , which Francis Bouillon is.Bouillon is one tough mother****er and he's a veteran with a good attitude who can still play.We aren't going to win the cup this year bunch of fools , signing Bouillon was a fantastic deal to bring a nice atmosphere in the club , he is a winner and our coach likes him. What's the problem?
To be honest I prefer a declining Francis Bouillon ready to die on the ice for his city than a declining Kaberle that is the softest player to ever play the game of hockey and has lost all his offensive skills , at 4+ millions.

There are a lot of D people would prefer over half our D core including Bouillon. I'm not sure how this move or the Armstrong move can be referred to as 'fantastic'. These are basically filler players.

Well , it is a fantastic deal for a filler player. There is something to be said about personality and desire to play for our club , and Bouillon is 10/10 on those factors. He's all heart.
He scored 4 goals last year , Prust scored 5 , in 16 more games. If you want to whine go whine in the other thread where we just signed a 5 goals player for 4 years at 2,5 million per year.

Prust is a fighter

No he's going to get inflated minutes because he's Therrien's brown-nosing little pupil. Just like Carbo overplayed Kosto, and Martin overplayed Darche and Pyatt, we'll have to see Bouillon on the ice all the ****ing time. What happened to Diaz and Kaberle?
On second thought, maybe it'll just be insurance in case Markov goes down. I hope he's just a depth d-man, but at the moment it seems unlikely.
