If you want some justification, Moen was worth $2.5 a year. So just switch their contracts around.
Finally, a hard working and gritty bottom 6.

Who cares about the money, let's talk about the player. Our team is rich as **** they can afford it, this is exactly what we need so Bergevin goes out and gets it. He also got Therrien two of his favourite players who play with an edge, nice day so far and I bet they're not done.
Welcome Prust, he will be a fan fav I bet!

Will make a good 3rd-4th line grinder capable of playing on the pk and bringing 10-13 goals per year.
I bet there a lot of teams that wanted him.
The cap did go up , i was thinking 1.5 mill, or less the Moen , but will see how it looks over next 4 .
Montreal lack what he got ....Now i wait to hear BGL name...lol Therrien said heavyweight .

I don't care about the term. It's not like it's an albatross or anything like that. 2.5 million is fine if he delivers as well as he did in the last playoffs, otherwise it's meh overpaid.

I thought he was a W/C. lol Damn, we still need a legit #4 C. I don't particularly like Noke as the guy.

Well, we are basically a 4C away from having the best bottom 6 in the league.
Possibly the worst top 6 and an awful defense, but still.

You need guys like Colby, Prust and Moen to win the cup.
We have a formidable bottom-6. I'm not even some pro-fighting guy, but all those guys can play. And play hard.
Now sign Jagr.

For those complaining about the deletions, our hands are tied by rules we have no say in. Even if we don't agree with those rules, we have to enforce them.
That being said: **** YEAH! Prust baby.

It might be a bit too much money, but contract wise, there are bigger problem than him in the team. He addresses a need, plain and simple. 28 years old guy, he is in his prime, I think we will like him.

Worst top 6 including Plekanec, Cole, Pacioretty, Desharnais, Gionta and awful defense including Subban, Markov, Gorges, Emelin...seriously?
Get real, man.

Prust is younger and drop them.
Moen will be thrilled to not be alone to do the dirty work. They might end up playing on the same line too.
GREAT SIGNING.
I love the three signings so far today. Grit, grit and more grit.

With Boullion added, I assume habs are shopping some of the D. If they could make a package swap for a top 6 forward at a reasonable age and cap that would be great.

I love Prust, own a jersey. But in no way should Prust be on your third line. I am not even saying it was an overpayment after watching what Gaustad got to play on the 4th line. You guys will not be happy at all with Prust on your third line.

Maybe they'll try out White as a 4th line centre, he played there in the AHL and played a couple games at the end of the year at centre.
