"in excess of 80 million" leaves a lot of numbers. 150 million is actually "in excess of 80 million" lol.

All of these reports are just posturing out of the reporters who thought we'd have some big signings today. This market is going to play out slower than they want, I think.

It's kinda funny looking 8 years back and thinking how hard the NHL and NHLPA pushed to have a salary cap in the league; which was about 40M in the first season. And now, a double of that probably won't help you get Suter or Parise. Just wow...

Like #Flyers the #Wild have thrown the kitchen sink at Parise/Suter. Going rate on all #NHL offers are now minimum 12 years between 80-90M

Does this mean the Flyers are not giving Jagr any contract offer?

They're waiting to see if they can land another forward before.

I would assume that means an "new" or different offer--right? A July 1 offer?

Well on the positive side, at least we haven't signed any ex-penguins today.

If anything the Flyers have driven up the price on Parise for the penguins.

Probably need to know about cap space if the reports about Parise and Suter are to be believed.

Carolina and Detroit are in a strong competition with New York Rangers for Rick Nash. Nothing imminent. Canes said to be pushing hard.

Nick Kypreos as well as a few other local beat writers say that it is 12 years and MORE than $80 million. Wild have $100+ million contracts on table for both.

"BroadStBull

Reportedly, they are insisting on Couturier as part of deal. @jct8888: @BroadStBull What do you hear the Ducks are asking for Ryan?"

Flyers submitted big bids on both Parise and Suter. For the moment, Philly appears to be out on Nash. Things can change quickly.

I wonder if the package for Suter has a detailed guide to Pennsyltuckey.

There is plenty of farmland here too.
