Indeed. He lit us up. Facing him once a year will be a nice change.

I guess it makes people feel better after that down year.

It's still an overpayment no matter what, the market when Dubi signed wasn't as bad as this and today in the current situation were in I see it as an over payment.

Whatever. I expect a bounce back year next year.

Well in my opinion there's been very, very few contracts signed thus far that weren't massive overpayments.

I personally think most of these deals are handled(in principle) before July 1st, with the exception being the high profile players. Even though your technically not supposed to do it.

So am I missing something? Did Torts or Sather feel the team lacked toughness? Or are these just safety net signings since they lost Prust?

He's just prolonging the inevitable.

If, and I repeat, IF a Nash deal is done CBJ is going to cringe at the return the way this process is going.

I think Asham was a clear replacement for Prust, I can't really explain the Haley signing.

Asham replaces Prust. what's not to get?

Haley looks like an AHL signing to me

Right, let's see. He has four years to do it.

And let's see Dubinsky justify his monstrous contract that he didn't deserve when he signed it, doesn't deserve now, and never will deserve.

Howson is probably calling Dreger as we speak to tell him KHL teams have interest in trading for Nash haha.

The Rick Nash sweepstakes is now down to the Rangers, Rangers, and Rangers. Wake up Howson. He wants out and you're not getting McDonagh.

We lost one of the toughest players in the league when we lost Prust, so we got Asham. Haley is a Connecticut signing. Why are people freaking out about this?

I keep bringing it up, but, Pierre had it right...the Staal deal is the template....a roster player, a prospect and a #1 pick...Dubi or AA/Erixon and a #1 pick.
