Yeah, I think Dubi contract is fine. Their are some comparable players like Booth, Ruutu that have higher cap hits, and their are some comparable players that have lower cap hits. He is right around where he should be salary wise. He had a disappointing year, but he will bounce back. He is not a 30 point player.

Either Howson makes this trade or Rick Nash mysteriously disappears while, coincidentally, the Rangers sign unknown FA Mick Sash.

Getting 200,000 more is considered "monstrous?"

When Dubinsky doesn't score, he can still play other areas of the game. You don't have that luxury with PA. Hell, Dubinsky's younger and has over 200 points; PA is older and only has over 100 points.

I set up this Twitter account a while ago, so I'm not exactly sure why I added him.

It says he writes "blogs" about sports, so I'm assuming he's just a fan. Funny nevertheless.

WHat do you guys think the chances of Howson cracking are?

If Nash comes tot he Rangers I think it will be a good deal for us. Sather is not doing anything stupid for Nash.

I think they are very adequate signings I was just trying to get a read on em. Bickel, Asham, Haley.
I guess they're expecting some rookies to make the team.

In an average year, he's a 40 point player. I don't know what people think he's bouncing back to.

Ruutu has had 2 50 point seasons and another where he had 35 in 54 games. Booth has had a 30 goal, 60 point season. They are not comparable players.

Which is essentially what Brooks wrote this morning, but Brooks later tweeted that there had been no contact. I assume Parise's camp would need to approach the Rangers if he wanted to come here at this point, and given the significant interest throughout the league, that isn't going to happen.

even the Murray/Heatley situation was cleaner than this. think that Howson is just waiting for Parise to get moved so that teams get desperate.

Maybe Kovalchuck takes a hard, long look at what's being left in Jersey, associates it as Atlanta 2.0, and he bolts to the KHL.
