98,5 fm just said that the Habs made an offer to Jagr, for what it's worth...

McGuire on 98,5 has been on point all day.

So, he just mentionned Jagr getting an offer form the Habs as a rumor. He maybe got it from Ek, but I would tend to think he's got an in on the Habs dealings.

Edit: Beaten to it.

Cap room can still be made with Gomez, Bourque and Kaberle and some imagination.

Really hoping Adrian Aucoin gets a look from the Habs on a short term deal. I used to make fun of him cause he was always overpaid, but we need a large player on the back end who wont be completely terrible on defense.

Semin... come on down too!

they need defense they would be stupid to go after jagr. then again, they're an incompetent franchise which is proven by the fact that they haven't been able to draft a capable nhl player (not including eberle) outside of the top 10.

Yup, but they said that he chose Ottawa instead of us, less pressure but is still close to home. They had him in interview, but I don't know if they spoke to him about that

He's on RDS right now saying he talked with Brisson and that he wouldn't play here. From the horses mouth.
