Not really kind of died down. A lot of talk about the huge contracts being thrown suter and parise's way.

I love the duke, but its times like this i really wish we didn't resign him. I really wish this team signed Semin and also I hope they're still trying to get Carle, the defence is not impressive...

I guess we approached Semin but he said he's waiting to see what happens with Parise.

I doubt we wanted to even risk missing out on both and having to use Olver again.

I sense a trade in works and a massive contract to Suter........well ok maybe the second part won't be happening, but damn I can dream.

Hopefully Dater is right. The forwards and goalies look good so hopefully we do something with our defense.

Just came here to post this, I asked on Twitter if he thought we were done, as most of us thought we were, he says we may not be...

Let's see.

He did have us "in on" Carkner and I believe that was the case, but the Avs Twitter Department "jumped the gun".

Let's keep the excitement alive!

That's really where PAP has shined in the NHL. I'm not saying that that's the only reason we'd make these moves, but I think it's an intresting concept that the Avs may be toying with.

Well, he *was* right about me forgetting about Carkner by the end of the day.

Still think there is an ok chance at Semin. I just don't think the club has much faith in Hejduk right now, and expect him to play a defensive role on the 4th line, rather than a scoring role on our three scoring lines.

Maybe Dater meant the Avs aren't done in the sense that they will continue being a NHL franchise.

or not...

In regards to transition, that is certainly a problem (I called for the Avs to sign a PMD last year), but the Avs look like they are building more of a dump and chase, high forecheck squad, to where I'm not as worried about having a quick transition game. I do think that the Avs need better passing out of their zone, and I can think of at least three defensemen on the roster who are terrible at it.

I like the Parenteau signing. He's basically a healthy version of what Mueller was supposed to be with us. He put up 70 points and according to Islanders fans he only played with JT about 60% of the time.

On the PP is where he'll be vital. He's a guy who can set up down low on the opposite side of Stastny since he is RH and dish passes.
